Highlander Immortals - Expanded

Description
This mod requires "Highlander Immortals - Upgradeable Immortality". Load order should be Upgradeable Immortality first, then Expanded.

A goal I have for this mod is to expand upon the ideas and concepts that Zer0 implemented in his mod. I want to bring in a narrative structure similar to the Highlander movie to the game involving ancient immortals, mentorship, romantic involvement with mortals, and more.

Road Map
Road map is subject to change and open for suggestions. I've included the things I'd like to see in the game but if there's something that others want me to add or remove I'm welling to hear it out.
.1 -> Ancient Immortals and game rules to change distribution
.2 -> Mentorship using new ancient immortals
.3 -> Romantic interests with mortals
.4 -> Alias system
.5 - > Gathering event chain/immortal limit and trait tweaking
.6 -> Rework of hunting/hiding system and dying while immortal situations
.7 -> Quickening power system(Must see show to know more about this)
.8 -> Sword crafting system
.9 - > Expanded universe characters
1.0 - > Flavor events and full release

After full release I plan on adding multiple language localization, specifically the same languages that the base mod has localization for.

Ancient Immortals
With version .1 of this sub mod, a couple of ancient immortals from Highlander 1 have been added to the game map. These two characters are Tak "Ramirez" Ne, who was played by Sean Connery and Vitor "the Kurgan" Krugar, who was played by Clancy Brown. Non ancient immortals who were also in Highlander have been added such as Connor MacLeod, Iman Fasil, Sunda Kastagir, and Yung Dol Kim.

Who is Yung Dol Kim??

He was an immortal from Highlander who was featured in some deleted scenes. Unfortunately the film for these scenes was destroyed in a fire so all I had to work with was 2 pictures and a brief wiki article. I figured I'd add him to the game with the rest of the Highlander 1 immortals. Not sure if he's considered canon or not but out of respect for the actor who spent time filming those scenes I've included him in the game.

If anyone has any suggestions I'm open for consideration.

safe for saved games or need a new game to take effect?

With only this and oryginal mod I don't have any rivals from the begining, after some years there still don't show up, there is now event with Immortal killed, no Hunt Immortal Decisions. Is this some kind of bug..?

@Deckem Hey, Deckem. Question: Graceful aging doesn't work with this mod, right? Or at least the stat point gain. Obviously, the "No Prowess loss from old age" is already there.

@hamletsdead I can see about doing it in a separate mod after I finished the roadmap, but for now I can't guarantee this mod will be compatible with major overhaul mods. I'd like to have my roadmap features work in a AGOT play through but in particular I don't think having the ancient immortals from Highlander 1 appear in Westeros would make any sense. I think the patch will likely just have the other features mentioned and just exclude the bookmarks/ancients entirely. Maybe The Kurgan can spawn north of the wall.

@Deckem, any chance of AGOT compatibility patch, which would of course require changing the bookmarks to the AGOT timeline? Great mod, BTW, kudos!

So far it's safe. Looking at Paradox's release notes, it doesn't appear that their modding changes will affect this mod. Running a game on 5 speed observe to see if I notice any bugs before re-releasing the last version as the current.

@Deckem C'mon Paradox. We don't mind updates but please no surprise last minute ones. I don't whether this affects your mod in anyway but this is message saying the game had a little update. It's affected 2 other of the mods I got, hope not yours too. good luck!!!

@Dark Falz That's probably the right solution. I think a limit of only 12 immortals is a little strict and "gamey". When I rework the immortal trait it won't have a strict limit and instead be based more on the timeline. I think I'll have an event chain kick off around 1150 or 1200 to usher in the last immortals into a gathering type scenario, but before then I don't think there should be a set number of immortals. I think this may require a bit of work so I'll add this to the road map as "Gathering event chain/immortal limit tweak".

It's better to burn out than to fade away
