The Requiem of Humankind

In this modification there are scenes reflecting the darker sides of human history. The use of such themes is not a justification of real events, but serves as an artistic means to explore complex issues of morality and ethics.
Our goal is not to propagandize, justify or glorify violence, but to provoke reflection on the nature of evil, historical mistakes and the importance of humanism. Users are encouraged to view the events in the modification critically and not to accept them as unqualified truth.

The Requiem Of Humankind plunges into a world ravaged by nuclear war, where dozens of countries with very different goals have sprawled across the territory of former Russia (called the Great Homeland by its inhabitants). This new world, disfigured by radioactive wastelands and shards of the old order, has become the stage for an endless struggle for survival.

World War II ended with the triumphant victory of the Soviet Union. All of Eastern Europe, East Germany, Bavaria and Austria came under Communist control. The specter of communism began to roam Europe, which led to the creation of the I.O.P.K, a military alliance between the U.S. and the remaining capitalist states. At the same time, the USSR was moving away from the ideas of Marxism-Leninism, transforming itself into a unitary state combining nationalist and socialist ideology.

The Cold War was accompanied by crushing defeats of the I.O.P.K. Every day the world was one step closer to the victory of the USSR military bloc. But fate had other plans.

In 2000, the process of unification of the GDR and FRG under the Communist flag was completed. This provoked a large-scale crisis between the I.O.P.K and the former USSR, which led to the outbreak of World War III. This was the point of no return; the point that opened a new, terrible era.

The modification updates many aspects of the original strategy:

1. Over 10 countries with their own unique history and content - change the world on the territory of the Great Homeland by advancing the story and making important decisions
   
2. Updated Minor Focus Tree - rebuild your state in a post-apocalyptic environment
   
3. Updated Unique Map - see the consequences of the nuclear apocalypse on the planet and get acquainted with possible rivals
   
4. Updated Technologies and Battalions - learn old world technologies and create new ones in a changed climate
   
5. Updated Economy - adjust your production and army modifiers and fund different sectors of the economy
   
6. Updated Government Laws - decide on religion, labor, information, military service and many other aspects of life
   
7. Unique Mechanics of Government Models - adopt more reforms in a special branch to bring your state to perfection
   
8. Updated Mechanics of Resource Extraction - no more bargaining with neighbors, because now you can extract them yourself
   
9. Unique Crisis Mechanics - defend yourself from a suddenly appeared state that wants to destroy you and your neighbors
   
10. Over 20 unique models of soldiers, vehicles and buildings
    
11. Over 10 new soundtracks and 8 unique superevents
