Description
Hearts of Cope is a vanilla + Balance mod. This mod is on 1.15 (Götterdämmerung)

Its focus is to bridge the gap between historical competive mods and vanilla Hoi4.

It tries to achieve this by NOT adding unit types, equipment or technologies and buildings like you would see in mods like Road to 56. It is otherwise balanced around a ruleset we have for the game. Including things like 1941 Attack on the USA and similar rules. Some of this can be found in focuses being locked behind world affairs.

Information for MP:

-Non-Playable countries are: Sweden, Turkey, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Portugal
-Mongolia and Siam get factories after unpause. Mongolia acts as the counter to Finland.

Changes compared to Vanilla Hoi4 include:

- Removal of Unimportant Nations for Multiplayer
- Creation or splitting of Air-regions like Ukraine or Egypt to improve Axis Air efficiency.
- Gibralta being 2 Tiles and impassable from Spain
- El Alamain being 2 Tiles (bottom tile is a mountain for balance reasons)
- Ground combat reworked to being 30 width
- Ground combat being more "fluid" thanks to removal of terrain defense buffs by the Engineer company in exchange
for 5 Entrechment.
- Artillery now 1 width, SPG now 2 width
- Tanks and Mech costing far more and in the case of Mech not possible to be made cheaper.
- Total rework on how tanks get their stats. (breakthrough mostly from modules multiplied by armor clicks)
- Naval combat rework into being similar to Hearts of Oak. Battles are now slower and dont end in 1 Day.
- USA Eco nerf and Japan buff to make the Pacific more interesting.
- Introduction of "Asia matters" modifier to the allies, to punish Allies for losing the Rubber islands. (It was discovered, that this is partially redundant, considering the buff to Japan and nerf to the USA. Now everyone but the USA is suffering from this)
- Rework of Sino-Japanese War to taking longer. still easily winnable, but not a extremly easy cake walk like in vanilla. (Unless you dont build enough arty for you divisions. You WILL lose to them if you dont know this)
- Gamelobby decisions for annexation of Nations to play MP even with less players ( for example: Romania taking over Bulgaria and Hungary if any one of them are AI. Or canada annexing South Africa)
- Being a modpack for many QOL mods that i will credit below.
- QOL improvements that i cant all remember:D
- German focus tree is reworked by moving some focuses around.
- Italy can do many focuses now that were locked behind being at war with a Major.
- Romania has some paths removed.
- Soviets have many focuses reduced to 35 days. And now acces to the offensive like germany (same amount of focuses but 70 day ones.

The idea behind this mod came from constantly having to juggle between R56 and Hearts of Oak on a server i play on since R56 is not balanced at all for Multiplayer and Hearts of oak with its mechanics being too dificult to learn for beginners of Hoi4. This mod will be updated on a regular basis in accordance with our needs on the server, so dont expect everything to stay the way they are. I will put my changes into a changelog every so often. The mod gets updated regularly for our Saturday games. So be warned that games over 2 weeks might get broken by an update of mine.
