Description
Reanimāta is a big mod for adding more deepth and love into the games you play using the great Invictus mod as a foundation.

DO NOT USE OTHER BIGGER OR UI CHANGING MODS WITH THIS MOD!

Reanimata needs Invictus 1.10 and does not work with mods not working with Invictus. Logically Indomita or other similar mods are not compatible.

For questions and stuff you can come to my discord: https://discord.gg/SRR23nGYjb

Features:
Immersive Character Gameplay
  • A family tree: Explore your extended family relations with new mechanics. Open the interface by clicking on the tree icon in each character profile
  • A real adoption system by overhauling both "adoption" character interaction resulting in your ruler becoming the adoptive father/mother for parentless characters, visible in character view and the familiy tree.
  • Chronicles: The game now saves previous careers so you can always see what a character has already done (including jail time)
  • New justice system: Bring law and order in your realm with fixed prison sentences and automatic release
  • Extended marriage system: Visible engagements and new marriage opportunities
  • New mistress and lover system: One partner is not enough? Find lovers and or a mistress in some new and some adapted lover events from CK3
  • Possible Homosexuality
  • many new (20++) character interactions and icons for a quicker overview (like in CK3)
  • more interactions between ruler and spouse while playing a monarchy

New Religious & Philosophical Mechanics
  • Extended philosophical schools: Sponsor one or more of the Hellenistic schools of philosophy. Provincial effects as new schools are founded to continually produce local philosophers. Develop your ruler as part of their philosophical training and acquire unique traits. Support the schools and gain additional innovations through their work. (Original idea of this part is the “Five School” Mod, which I have vastly extended...)
  • Religious Estate Mechanics: New religious mechanics including priestesses, college of priests, dynamic donation system and independent temple construction
  • Oracle of Delphoi: The Pythian games and a regular election of the Pythia in Delphoi
  • Set a main god for your religion to increase your pantheon size to 5 gods

Improved Warfare
  • Faster civil wars I; if you take a fort, you get the surrounding settlements automatically back
  • Faster civil wars II; At a monthly tick areas change the owner based on the controlled forts and if there are no enemies present anymore (removes border gore)
  • Hire your own designed mercenary army and put a character from your country in charge (but keep the high costs in mind)
  • Historical wars like the Punic wars or the civil war between Caesar and Pompey
  • Improved vanilla warfare events

Economy, Trade & Internal Management Overhaul
  • New trade goods and buildings
  • Dynamic and reasonable change system for trade goods
  • Prison Manager, to handle groups of prisoners at once
  • Revised governor system: with governor focus setting and other interactions
  • Governors now change their strategy on their own if you allow them to do so
  • Autonomy system for bigger empires similar to EU IV to balance the money income
  • Revised government system: new offices and laws from the Bigger Government Mod
  • New spy system (WIP)
  • New subject variants like colony and big client state (which costs one diplo slot)
  • Dynamic threshold for small client states you can keep without losing a diplo slot based on your country rank
  • Automatic shifts between different subject types. E.g. If a small client state becomes to big, it shifts automatically to a big client state

Naming & Culture specific localization
  • Revised Naming System for Romans, Greeks, Thracians, Persians and others including new names
  • New naming system for Roman and Italic women
  • Regional and corrected titles for offices, governors and rulers (mostly for Latin and Greek)
  • Greek dialects and name variants
  • Correction of many nicknames and many new ones for the Greek cultural group
  • Revised names for several hundred provinces in Greek and Latin

Flavour Additions
  • 120+ new monarchy events (some ported from EU:ROME / CK3 but intensively reworked)
  • 70-100 reworked historical events with historical characters we know from war (Sulla, Caesar etc), philosophy (Cicero, Phílōn of Larissa etc) and arts...
  • 300-400+ new events in total
  • New location system in the character and Army/Navy UI
  • Greek Hellenism culture mechanics
  • Some new cultures
  • Appearance of historic important philosophers via event
  • Slightly bigger families and more characters at court to fill all the new jobs
  • Music from Eu:Rome integrated and a basic Music Player UI
  • Released subject countries are named after the area or region (in case of an autonomous gorvernorship) and they get a proper adjective

UI-Improvements
  • New modifier icons: Finally, icons indicate whether a modifier is positive or negative (a feature that Paradox built into the game, but never used itself...)
  • New interface functions and much more details in several UIs
  • New location system for offices and titles in the character UI
  • Seasonal province images (WIP)
  • Many new province images 100+
  • Individual icons for all religions
  • Individual icons for all cultural groups and some individual cultures
  • Individual icons for over 200 gods
  • lots of HD icons and new artwork in the interface windows

Other Stuff
  • Other smaller mechanics
  • A few fixes for vanilla bugs and some improvements to other mods
  • Reworked most windows for mod compatibility
  • Some hidden fixes like:
  • Automatic removal of holdings in abroad countries
  • Removing empty territories within an AI country

Loadorder:
  1. Invictus (top in launcher)
  2. Reanimāta (last in launcher)
  3. Patches for other mods (optional)

You must not load any other mod after Reanimāta unless the mod is done for Reanimāta.

if you are using several Reanimāta patches, then load them after my main mod in any order.

The Following mods are included and you should not use them additionally:
  • my little "Sad Time - Sad Face" mod is included
  • The great Full Mechanical Overhaul (FMO) mod by Dementive (thx to him and his help!)
  • The icons for military tactics are included in high scaling from Vernerythehunter. THX to him!
  • the "Five School mod" by John Philoponus is completely included, translated and expanded heavily
  • HIP mod by Ooiue is fully included and vastly overhauled by adding characters and events and options.
  • "Bigger Government Mod" by II_Paulus_II is included and revised and expanded
  • Better UI by Agami is 80-90% included or rewritten from scratch
  • Trait Categories by Zamensis is includedexpanded to newer Invictus and Reanimata traits (THx to him)
  • the mod called "Refined UI" as it cosists of stolen code from Reanimāta anyways

many events, UI elements, mechanics and old errors from vanilla and other mods are corrected, reenabled or improved like 20-30 Zorgo events from Invictus or 4-5 disabled Bronce Age events.

Many graphical elements were created by AI or taken from other paradox games. Especially CK2, CK3 and Victoria3.

@Lord of Liberty:
got an answer from the lead dev of the converter. Apparently large parts work except for some mapping of govt offices, admin govt. and roman female names.

The great news is, it's in their scope to the converter hopefully will be updated with time to support these remaining points.

Good, because this mod, which I took a quick look at yesterday, has some serious love and passion in it, even adding in mods that I was considering.

@Samir al-Hajeed not by a lot but I added some corruption elements and events. Maybe you are using other mods and then they are increasing it too much?
Lord of Liberty  [author] Aug 26 @ 12:06pm
@fabs I never used the converter but I know that other did and it does work as far I know
Samir al-Hajeed Aug 26 @ 11:02am
Is it me or are the characters a lot more corrupt in this mod? Is this intended?

Really interesting mod that I would be interested in giving a try. Thank you for adding support for the Timeline Extender and Crisis of the 3rd century.

Do you know whether your mod works with the Imperator to CK3 converter? Any examples of a game being converted with it?

@Lotussy Hi, this is a well known vanilla bug.^^ In fact this bug happend with the latest Paradox patch so it is even in vanilla and no modder but Paradox could fix this. This bug is also only a visual one as this modifier is only taken into account once when calculating.

Hi, great mod, i love it so far.
I do have a wierd bug though.

Lots of descriptions get repeated lines, like
"Local Citicen Output: +5%"
"Local Citicen Output: +5%"
"Local Citicen Output: +5%"
"something else"
"Local Citicen Output: +5%"
"Local Citicen Output: +5%"

Anyone else has this occur?

@DuxMagnus I have no idea what you're referring to 😅 Which update are you talking about—Reanimata or Invictus? Reanimata hasn't made any changes to technologies in the last 10–20 updates.
DuxMagnus Aug 21 @ 4:49am
I just revisited an older save that was made before recent updates and I noticed that both urban and rural planning technologies have now been researched, though they are meant to be incompatible in vanilla. Is this intentional?

@Lord of Liberty OK, thanks for the info. I used the mechanic as a kind of “proxy war” to weaken my opponent before the actual attack began.
