Mythical Monster Modifiers

Michaelsoftman's Mythical Monster Modifiers

This mod gives any hostile NPC in the game a chance to spawn with some type of modifier, to give it extra abilities or enhance it in some way.
There are mod config options to enable / disable this for bosses and for citters, as well as set the overall chance of a modifier, up to 100%. There are config options to enable or disable each individual modifier, as well as set a minimum number of modifiers per enemy, and enable / disable modifiers per individual boss.
There is also an Insanity Mode option, which allows NPCs with the Splitting ability to potentially spawn others that also have Splitting.

This mod can work with any other mod, though I can't guarantee that all NPCs will function 100% correctly with each ability as there are so many mods out there.

NOTE: This mod is intended for single player and may not work correctly for multiplayer.

==List of modifiers==
Explosive - Drops 3 grenades on death.
Cloning - Spawns 2 of the same type of NPC on death. Spawned NPCs can also have modifiers.
Trapped - Spawns boulder on death.
Quick - Moves 1.5x as fast.
Caffeinated - NPC is 2x as fast
Black Hole - Projectiles like arrows, bullets, magic are drawn into the NPC.
Chaotic - Teleports every 4 seconds.
Unstable - NPC can inflict one of the following buffs / debuffs on hit: Poisoned, Potion Sickness, Darkness, Cursed, On Fire, Tipsy, Well Fed, Clairvoyance, Bleeding, Confused, Slow, Weak, Silenced, Broken Armor
Phasing - Continuously shifts from being visible to invisible.
Vampire - If the NPC deals melee damage to the player, the NPC is healed.
Splitting - Every time the NPC is hit, they split into another copy of themselves. Spawned copies can have modifiers.
Berserker - NPC is immune to knockback, when it hits you, you are sent flying 400% further.
Growing - Every time the NPC is hit, they increase in size.
Shrinking - Every time the NPC is hit, they decrease in size.
Glowing - NPC emits light.
Bulwark - NPC's defense is double the normal amount.
Blinding - NPC inflicts blind on hit.
Poisonous - NPC inflicts poison on hit. (NPC tinted green)
Regenerating - Every 5 seconds, NPC will heal either 2% of it's life, or 50 life, whichever is less.
Undying - When NPC is about to die, it's healed to half life. Can only happen once.
Weakness - NPC inflicts Weak debuff on hit
Webber - If you hit this NPC with a melee weapon, you are slowed for 2 seconds.
Wither - NPC inflicts Weathered Armor / Weathered Weapon on hit

Large / Chunky / Chonker / Heckin Chonker / Here comes the Chonk - NPC is much larger
Nimble / Small / Tiny / Micro / Nano / Atomized - NPC is much smaller

Does this mod override or otherwise conflict with Fargo’s Enemy Modifiers? Wondering if I’ll have enemies doubling up on modifiers, or if there’ll simply have a larger pool of potential modifiers to draw from!

This mod is chaotic, and I like it! I used this mod with the Calamity Mod, and I fought a cloning Perferator Hive, and before I knew it, there were dozens of perferator hives floating around, shooting ichor, and relasing perferators! All in all, this mod's incredible. 10/10! :steamthumbsup:

this mod is absolutely ridiculous, and I love it all the time for how ridiculous it is! It was just the perfect amount of variety and needed challenge to spice up gameplay, so thank you for making this! I hope to see more soon if at all possible, but thank you regardless for this!
