Report a translation problem
Something is really wrong there because in the latest version, that option does *nothing*, exactly because of the built-in changes. I didn't remove the option yet.
1. wings on set 1, switch to set 2 and have no wings
2. switch back to set 1, wings have disappeared
3. switch to set 2, now I have wings
4. switch to set 1, no wings
5. switch to set 2, no wings
6. switch to set 1, wings are back where they should be
however sometimes it happens differently, and sometimes the wings don't come back no matter how many times I switch

I'm gonna try messing with the config settings and see if I can report it to tmodloader
If you are updating from an older version (with my accessory slot feature on), you could try removing the accessories into your normal inventory then placing them back with the new tML version.
