Description
READ INSTRUCTIONS! Wrestling Empire Custom Promo Generator. Requires WECCL mod
Usage
Once subscribed, open the game and then close it. Go to Wrestling Empire\BepInEx\plugins\GeeEm-PromoGenerator\Assets and launch WECustomPromoGenerator.exe. Follow the instructions on the screen. When you are done making pages click Create .promo file and the tool should make a new .promo file. Put that file in your Wrestling Empire\BepInEx\plugins\Manual\Assets folder (if it does not exist, create it) and it should appear in game the next time you launch it.
Instructions
General example: look at the pictures above.
Advanced features example:
  • Please enter the promo title: - the title of the custom promo. The tool will also use this as the file name.
  • Please enter the promo description: (You can use '[P1]' and '[P2]' to name wrestlers) - the promo description. [P1] and [P2] will be replaced with the names of the characters.
  • How many speakers are there? Min 0, max 3, not counting the ref or team partners: - how many main wrestler speakers are there.
  • Is the wrestler 1 team partner included in the promo? - adds wrestler 1 team partner to the promo. There should be at least 1 main wrestler to work correctly. Team format must be set in the match rules.

Must be either Absolute [probability], Relative [probability], GroupedRelative [probability] [group] where [probability] is a number between 0-1. This feature is not made by me so you will have to figure out details yourself here: https://ingoh.net/weccl/docs/promos.html#7cefd7c8_3156
  • Use character names instead of ids in the entry fields below? - if you use this, whenever you are asked to enter an id you can just use their full name instead. Recommended for beginners.

    • Enter the first line of the speaker: / Enter the second line of the speaker: - each promo page can have up to 2 lines. For quotes, use \". In order to use wrestler names use $name# and replace # with the corresponding wrestler id, e.g. if you type I am $name1 and assign Whack Ax as the first wrestler in the game, he will say I am Whack Ax. $promotion# can be used the same way, using I'm from promotion $promotion1 will be replaced by I'm from promotion Wrestling Revolution (wrestler 1's promotion). $belt(#1)_(#2), $champ(#1)_(#2) are a bit more advanced, (#1) is the number of a wrestler (promotion), (#2) is the number of a title. Example: if someone from Wrestling Revolution is set as the first wrestler The $belt1_2 champion is $champ1_2 will be replaced by The Inter champion is Acrite. However, if the first wrestler is from All American Wrestling, it will be replaced by The United States champion is Perfect Sean. Note: tag team champion and their partner are 4th and 5th champions ($champ1_4 and $champ1_5 will call out first wrestler's promotion's tag team champions). $moveFront(#1)_(#2), $moveBack(#1)_(#2), $moveGround(#1)_(#2), $moveAttack(#1)_(#2), $moveCrush(#1)_(#2), $taunt(#1)_(#2) will be replaced with the name of character #1's front, back, ground, attack, crush, and taunt move number #2 respectively. Move numbers are in a table in an image above. For example, "$moveFront1_0" will be replaced by first wrestler's front finisher. $location[/] will be replaced by the location the promo takes place in. $prop(#1) will be replaced by the wrestler's prop. $stat(#1)_(#2) will be replaced by (#1) wrestler's skill (#2). For example, "$stat1_2" will be replaced by the first wrestler's strength stat. $match will be replaced by match type. $date will be replaced by the date. $team(#1) will be replaced by (#1) wrestler's team. @him/his/etc.# will be replaced with the pronoun of the character with the corresponding id, e.g. @his1 friend -> his friend or her friend depending on wrestler #1's gender. Supported pronouns are He, he, His, his, Him, him, Male, male, Man, man, Guy, guy, Boy, boy.

The promo generator itself disappeared? After you resubscribed, did you open the game? Because workshop stuff gets installed/uninstalled only when you launch it. You could try to unsubscribe, open the game, then close it, subscribe again and then open the game again. It should properly put the promo generator folder into the plugins again.

So I fixed that problem now, but now the actual app went away and I don't have it anymore, so I tried unsubscribing and resubscribing but thats not working either, and then I deleted the file from inside of the game thinking I could resubscribe and it would redownload everything but that didn't work either and now when I subscribe to the mod the folder doesn't show up. Sorry I'm having so many problems bro I genuinely don't know wtf is going on with my game ;-;

You might have "Use character names instead of IDs" enabled but you're still using the number ids for speakers. If not, open one of your promo files in notepad and send me here

So I was able to fix the problem I was having before, but now every time I try to do the promo they don't do their expressions or taunts, and the camera only stays on one character despite the script saying that the other person should be talking.

Do you still have other custom promo files? Also, are there any errors in the console?

I deleted a promo I didn't want anymore and now the custom promos tab in game isn't showing up anymore. Is anyone else having this issue, and if so how do I fix it?

Wasn't working for me until I realized I must actually put 0 in the taunt box, now it actually shows up ingame. Probably a few people ran into the the same issue.
