Description
Fungus!
Yes, that's the usual response. Never thought they'd spread everywhere did you?
This mod introduces Cordyceps spore zones into the game, just like in The Last of Us!

How does it work?
The first time you enter any non player built building after activating this mod, there is a chance the building will have been infected by cordyceps and is now a spore zone!

As soon as you get in, the clock starts ticking! The longer you stay, the weaker you become. You will start coughing, feeling nauseous, and after some time, you will become infected.

Wearing a gas mask or similar hazmat gear will prevent you from becoming infected.
This works with both default and modded masks.
You can completely customize this mod's behavior using Sandbox Options.

How to create/destroy zones?
Admins and Debug Mode users can create and destroy Spore Zones by right clicking the floor while inside a building.
Regular Players can only destroy Spore Zones if they have a bomb, explosive or molotov in their inventory.
If the "Ground Zero" Sandbox Option is enabled, Players must locate a crack on the floor and plant the bomb there.

F.A.Q

Does it work on Multiplayer?
Of course!

Does it work on existing saves?
Absolutely!

The mod is compatible with [...]?
This mod shouldn't have any incompatibility with other mods, but if it does, let me know.

Do ALL modded masks work?
No. I can detect most, but not all of them. Blame it on who made the mask.

@Kofi I found a crack in the floor on the second floor and then right clicked on it to bring up a menu and then selected the spore crack ( or something like that) and used a molotov on it. I not sure how the mod decides where to put the cracks, but I had to look for a spot on the floor that looked off a little. It may also depend on what other mods you have and if they add any detail to the world. 10 Years Later may make it a little harder to find them with all the overgrowth that the mod adds to the game. I am not using that mod myself. Using the molotov didn't blow up the house or set it on fire. Also didn't seem to remove the spore cloud until I reloaded back into the game after I took a break to eat. Not sure if that is a glitch or what though.
