New Tersh

Welcome to New Tersh! A large bustling city with a lively downtown popular with travelers. If the sounds of downtown aren't really your thing, check out the quiet suburbs and friendly neighborhoods on the outskirts. Unfortunately even before the Knox Event the cities industrial side started to die and become abandonded as factories started to move to more profitable locations, maybe there's something worthwhile there thats not been picked over by the old vagrants, and now the new survivors, but I doubt it!

All spawn locations are in the residential areas with a small buffer zone from downtown so you're not immediately thrown to the wolves! Some houses even have multiple spawns, so if youre starting a new server with friends theres a VERY RARE chance you might even spawn in a house with your buddy, you must now RP as siblings, partners, or roomates at least!

15 Chunk map (5 x 3 ) located just north of Bedford Falls. The selected chunks at time of creation were completely unoccupied by any other mod map, this is subject to change, but due to its off location there shouldnt be any conflicts.
Map Chunks occupied:
(45,29),(45,30),(45,31)
(46,29),(46,30),(46,31)
(47,29),(47,30),(47,31)
(48,29),(48,30),(48,31)
(49,29),(49,30),(49,31)

I'd recommend both Bedford Falls AND Road to Bedford Falls to be both installed, though its not mandatory to have either of them as long as you use the newtersh_northroad submod.

NOTE: If you choose to not install Bedford Falls you include newtersh_northroad in the 'Maps=' section

Load order needs to be New Tersh -> Road to Bedford -> Bedford Falls
If your loadorder is incorrect part of New Tersh will be empty forest
Be sure that when you're considering load order that you include the Bedford Falls maps of "North" "South", and "West" in that equation. See below for an example, the "North" map seems to be the culprit for the "New Tersh Cut In Half" issue people have been finding as they're unaware Bedford Falls has those sneaky sub-maps included.


Also be sure your tiles are loaded BEFORE (above) the maps as best practice.

If you find any bugs or weirdness let me know in a comment and i'll try to address it asap. I tried to test as much as possible, but being only one person and the map being so large and detailed there is a good chance i've missed something.

@Ryan thats the nature of mods and modding, conflicts occur. I'm sure there will be people who still use my map in build 42, and if not, oh well that's not why I built it in the first place. I'm not going to move my map every time someone encroaches on its cells.

And no, I don't want nor permit you to move it, if I wanted it moved I'd move it.

@Franek if you have the map enabled when you create a new character by default it should have New Tersh as a spawnable location

My goal here is to make it so good maps aren't forgotten. So, I let you know. But seeing how Monmouth will grow into a giant people will mostly start choosing it in build 42. And this map will be mostly unused. Changing can help from that. If you give me permission I can publish it to a new location.

I specifically chose this location because it had no conflicts and my maps been around for a while now. They moved into "my" cells, take it up with monmouths developer

Unfortunately he's at final stage. If you could just release the map with new location like "new new tersh" or something like that. It would still have the compatibility and not break the current saves and once build 42 releases people would slowly transition to that. Or if you allow me permission I could do it.

Well I can't really do anything about that you'll have to ask the Monmouth devs to not expand to those cells

@Ryan see previous comment in regards to Monmouth by another user:

"Alright then, if you want to play, like me, with Bedford, NewTersh AND Monmouth, you just have to replace the 'road to bedford' mod with the 'road from Monmouth County to Bedford Falls' mod.
So you will have access to a perfectly playable sector.
A huge thank you to the author of NewTersh, it's a magnificent work !
