Project Ulysses is a total overhaul mod for Hearts Of Iron IV that aims to bring the world of Bandai Namco's "Ace Combat" series of games into a HOI4 setting. The world of Ace Combat, called "Strangereal", features a variety of nations many of whom have allegorical parallels to the nations of our own world, in aspects such as culture, language, geography, and history.

What is Ace Combat?
In the Ace Combat games, you play as a fighter pilot flying for any one of many nations, alliances, or even companies, often times in a losing war, and miraculously change the tide of the war single-handedly, fighting powerful rivals, destroying high-tech superweapons, and discovering conspiracies and twists about the origin or nature of the conflict itself. Highly praised for it's story, gameplay, and soundtrack, the Ace Combat series has always sported a captive audience.

What is Project Ulysses?
In Project Ulysses, you have the option to play as any country from the Ace Combat universe. Because of the lack of a fully built world, in addition to all the canon nations, you will also see a fair amount of our own improvised ones designed to fill the map to completion. These nations have been designed to be believable within the context of the world, while also presenting a unique story and possibilities should the player choose to play these nations. Because of this, please understand that while we may stick to the canon in every way possible, Project Ulysses contains non-canon material and should not be used as a method of cross-referencing canon material.
