Lupine Civilization

Description
A civilized species of wolf-like humanoids, to play with in fort mode or to simply just inhabit your worlds. I wanted to create a playable wolf race that was more in-depth than just putting the playable tag on the vanilla animal people, so this mod was born.

Features:
Adds the Lupine creature and civilization to your Dwarf Fortress world
Custom sprite work, including unique layered sprites for most (and plans for all, eventually) clothing, armor, and wieldables.
Diverse fur colors and markings- over 944,784 possible combinations!
A slightly different set of cultural weapons and clothing than vanilla dwarves, such as bows, longswords, and capes, etc.
A couple fun easter eggs to find!

Helpful to know:
Lupines are roughly the same size as humans, close enough to wear the same clothing generally.
They send trade caravans in winter.
Omnivorous
In my testing it seems like they don't war with other vanilla civs super frequently, most commonly with goblins and humans when it happens.
Their lifespans are, on average, slightly shorter than humans.
They tend to have multiple offspring, with quadruplets not uncommon.
Thick, insulating fur means they can survive more extreme temperatures than dwarves.
This mod does not alter any vanilla creatures or items.

This mod is a work in progress, with more features coming in the future. Future plans include a custom language, more unique sprites for the handful of vanilla weapons not already done, custom noble positions, and baby sprites. I tried to test fairly extensively, but there may be some bugs I missed, so feel free to let me know if you encounter anything strange.

I've been using this mod for a very, very long time, and I just wanted to leave a comment this morning to make sure you know how much your mod is appreciated! I have a blast using them for above ground forts

Would really love adventure mode portraits.

Has anyone else had problems getting their puppo people to stay geared up when having them under the ready option as a squad? I'm sure I have it all set up right, and watch them put on armor when I tell them to guard a position, but when I tell them to stop they just discard the armor right where they are and go back to working. I thought they were supposed to stay armored up. Or did I understand that function wrong?

Any chances of adventure mod portraits eventually? I know that one's probably a big ask, but I still wanted to ask as I'd really, really love to see them!

Should be fixed now, though they only have right handed sprites currently

Heya! Wanted to report a bug. It does not appear as if held items (weapons and such) are appearing in adventure mode correctly at this time. Did some troubleshooting, it doesn't appear to be reading or recognizing image/wolftools at all.

Just letting you know, I found a graphics bug in my mods with the recent beta versions that is present in this one too. Because you used the shadow tile from the DWARF_BODY tileset, and the dwarf graphics have changed, instead of a shadow there's now a piece of dwarf floating behind the Lupines' heads.

I just wanted to drop by a comment and make sure you know I'm very, very much looking forward to seeing how this develops further! I love challenging myself by making above ground villages with the Lupines, they're my go to for that kind of run.
