graetor's Grand Masters

Description
"Each Grandmaster is a paragon of knightly virtue, and is not only one of the most fearsome warriors in the Old World, but also a legendary commander and leader of men. They are rare in number, for even amongst those dedicated individuals who have the skill and strength of mind to become a Knight of the Inner Circle, few have what it takes to reach the pinnacle of knighthood."

Inspired by SFO and the All Tabletop Lords mod of WH1, this mod adds a generic Grand Master Lord to all Empire factions.

FEATURES
  • New Generic Lord: Grand Master
  • 7 (seven) Knightly Orders to choose from:
    - Reiksguard
    - Knights of the Blazing Sun
    - Knights Panther
    - Knights of Morr
    - Knights of the White Wolf
    - Knights of the Everlasting Light
    - Generic Knightly Orders
  • Each Knightly Order has unique buffs that affect specific and generic Empire Knights units
  • Unique skins, mounts and variants for each Knightly Order!
  • Some new skills and abilties to make each Grand Master more unique
  • Balanced for Vanilla

CHANGES
  • Grand Masters buff Empire knights/cavalry units and allows for more cavalry-focused armies with skills and abilities surrounding cavalry
  • Compatible with my Knightly Orders. graetor's Knightly Orders.
  • You can choose your variants with Variant Selector. Requires Variant Selector.

NOTES
  • Choosing a Knightly Order locks the other orders, and some mounts lock some orders
  • It was decided that it would be easier to try and add as much orders into one lord rather than creating separate lords for each knightly order
  • Rank 7 buffs WILL NOT WORK since they dont have the "emp_knights_rank7" unit set attached, but that is a very easy fix
  • This is mostly balanced for vanilla, although it can still be subject to change

SUBMODS

CREDITS
  • 金花 - For his Campaign Demigryph Animations which was used in this mod
  • SFO & All Tabletop Lords - The ideas and plans were inspired from their wonderful work
  • h3ro - His amazing Asset Editor is what made this mod possible. Big thanks to him for all the possibilities!

This mod is made to fit in the vanilla aesthetic and balance, while having it's own sense of uniqueness. Furthermore, the visuals are based on miniatures or official guides, hence why they all have the same base template. Keep this in mind when subscribing to this mod.

Comment any potential balance changes and check the change notes for update details.

Yeah greatsword on horses dont have cape animations, unfortunately. Might do it on eventually, but its a bit of an arduous task for a little thing, but we’ll see

Hi, found that Chapter Master of Morr cape clips through his horse.

No worries, I'm just making sure I wasn't missing something. Thank you for your replies and your time and effort creating your mods. This and your Knightly orders mod make the game much more enjoyable.

oh yeah might have to update that

Yes it is the ancillaries screen where you can see your character up close and add equipment. the same screen you pick your variant. So after I choose an order the character does not change from the original model from when I recruited it and no new variants show up in the variant selector. I'm just making sure I'm not missing something. Thank you for your quick responses.

i dont see the problem, if youre using variant selector you can choose at least 5 variants of each order, changing the unit cards might take a turn or so and idk what the details screen is, is it the screen where the ancillaries and what can be changed?
EddieTwoHands May 12 @ 2:44pm
Sorry. In the details screen and also on the unit card there is no change. You have 5 or 6 variants to choose from before you pick an order. After I choose an order I still have the same 5 or 6 variants. But like I said on the campaign map the character changes and also on the battle map the character changes.
