Description
!!WORKS ONLY ON ULTRA VFX SETTING (on low/mid/high you get no effects)!!
Don't forget to enable "Smoke Transparency Fix" mod that I listed in dependencies.


"Guns, Smoke & Spectacle" Overhaul aims to bring gunpowder units to another level, initially inspired by Shogun's 2 great portrail of guns and artillery + thinner and shorter bullet trail.

State of WIP
Perfectly playable, core units have effects finished and now it's mostly siege weapons that needs new effects, and many of those have effects done. You can check more details at the bottom of the page.

Recommended Mods
Reloading Animations - With great effect comes great reload, immersion to 11
Shorter Trails & a bit more - I highly recommend, I always use it

Submods
SFO Submod - Small tweak so thunderers use correct effect, and fixes Streltsi (Bardiches)

Performance
Biggest concern people have is that these effects look taxing, they really aren't and performance was on top of my priorities. If you can run game on ultra vfx setting, you can run this mod.


Compatibility - It's pretty good
This Mod doesn't change any stats and works with mods like SFO. Most of the time works with new units, but not always. Sometimes more complex units are missing effect, I know of Southern Realms mod where cannons for example have some issue.

I just tried it. It think is actually possible to run this mod parallel to the other mod (Extreme Smoke and Flash). This way, units that normally wouldn't work anymore still get a good effect (like handgunners). Meanwhile, the really nice and flashy effects for cannons, etc., are retained. Currently I am not 100% sure need some further testing

I've checked and it's only with this mod, does anyone know how to fix it?

With this mod there is a bug in Malakai, he shoots 3 shots but only the first bullet comes out and does damage, although the smoke effect is three shots

it works on every gunpowder faction I've played, chorfs have the best effects and thunderers/handgunnders/outriders etc even slayer pirates has good vfx

Please update to new version, handgunners no longer have effect, but mortars still have
