Active Protection System (APS)

Description
This is just a simple system that has a near 100% intercept rate for missiles fired at it. It's quite large at the moment and I will be working on it again soon to reduce the size and make it more effective.

It should be noted that this system can still function if there are multiple targets infront of it however, it can struggle if the incoming missile passes near one of the targets as it can get the confused. The system also will struggle if it's placed on an angle and is moving as it currently does not account for the angle that it is at.

If you use this micro controller in your creation I would appreciate some credit in the description if you upload it to the workshop

In theory, yes. It will shoot at anything that is travelling towards the launcher at high enough speed. You can put it on a tank too but it won't function well if the tank is moving.

tailfish, idk if this is late but what I did is I got the distances of all the targets, created a clock that runs every second/tick (tick is better since it has quicker readings) then link the clock to a memory register, get the target distance and connect it to the register, then get a subtract, link the memory register to the top of the subtract and the target distance to the bottom. The output of the subtract is the speed of the target, negative numbers means it's going away and positive means coming towards. As far as I know using ticks means you cant have an accurate reading of the m/s so yeah

how did you filter whats going away and what's coming toward? Im trying to make a ciws system

The top floating one was setup for testing I think. It isn't required for the actual system to function correctly

are one of your radars not meant to be activated? asking because one of them aren't being turned on when you press the toggle button/its not connected.
