Reduce Global Warming

Description
Changes game start global warming to safe values, removes emissions from the economy priority and buffs the welfare effect of removing emissions to gigantic levels. Essentially this causes global emission levels to hover at or around safe levels so long as someone somewhere in the world is running some welfare priority.

This is done by editing values in the game templates to buff 2 environmental techs to insane levels and granting those techs at the start of the game, plus removing all emissions the game starts with. I have removed all other mentions of emissions in other techs and instead just let them have a bonus to economy/welfare.

This does mean that nuclear winter is easier to trigger since the planet is cooler already, I haven't found a good way to edit values relating to stratospheric aerosols yet.

Any chance for an update? Not a fan of this mechanic in the game

Likely edits the same template files. However it looks like it has its own way to cheat out global warming so you don't really need both.

I think this mod is incompatible with the Cheat Menu mod

I love dumping big nations like china on 100% eco. Love that $60 trillion eco by 2027

Even if you control the whole world and pump everything into reducing emissions and research all the climate techs (which only give something like a 30% bonus to emission reduction), it still drops so slow you'd probably win the game before reaching safe levels. Maybe they intended it that way.

In any case if you want to change the values yourself you can find the effect template in Terra Invicta/TerraInvicta_data/StreamingAssets. I don't have much interest in maintaining mods I don't personally use.

In Vanilla pretty sure you need to control most of the world to start reducing global warming and that with all the tech.

I wouldn't mind if you only need a few large nation to start reducing it

actually we can't reduce global warming with the vanilla tech just stopping it if we give all point with all the big nations, so a mod to help reduce global warming but not op

Do you mean just what's in the first screenshot? It would be pretty simple for me to make and update, keeping in mind that it wouldn't stay at 0.
