Better Resources

Description
Better Resources mod for Space Engineers

This mod adds a lot of new resources, ore types include: Copper, Bauxite, Lithium, Oil Shale, Titanium, Nitre, Sulfur, Wolframite and Galena. Some of the ores will give multiple ingot types when refined, for example Bauxite will give Aluminium and Gallium, Oil Shale will give Crude Oil and Sulfur, Wolframite will give Tungsten and Tin. All default "Space Engineers" planets, asteroids and the moon will spawn the new resources.

• Most ammunition will require Brass, Gunpowder and Lead, Sabots will require Tungsten and warheads will require Plutonium.

• Lithium and Lithium-Sulfur batteries will output far more power and have a larger storage capacity, but will have no initial charge (cells will not grind to scrap)

• Petrol can be made from crude oil to power petrol engines, which are far more efficient than hydrogen engines.

• Elite tools and weapons will often require Brass, Aluminium, Plastic, Rubber, Titanium and Optics resulting in better performance and less weight.

• LED lights can be made from Plastic and Gallium, which are much brighter and more power efficient.

• GaAs Solar Panels can be made from Aluminium and Gallium offering better energy harvesting performance.

• Titanium components and high-torque motors make pistons with longer ranges possible (only x2 implemented at the moment).

• Composite Plate armour made from depleted Uranium and Titanium offers strength and durability, nuclear waste from reactors will need to be processed for depleted Uranium.

• Upgrade modules will need advanced electronics to build.

• Medkits and Powerkits can be made in the laboratory equipment block.

Please see below for a full breakdown of the resources

Some of the weapons use the Scope framework, which can be found here - https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2754014019

Assembler flaw - You want to produce gunpowder and have all the ingredients necessary, but are getting the "Missing Items" error. This is because SE doesn't move the Sulfur into the assemblers main inventory, so you'll need to manually do this, or use an inventory manager to automate the process for you.

@naylorp1 Thanks, I'll look into it.

Just started up a new Apex survival game. First mod installed is ALWAYS better resources. Just discovered something ...... the vanilla hydrogen bottle cant be placed into a small hydrogen tank to refill it. I unloaded the mod, it works. The elite hydrogen bottle will go into the small hydrogen tank. Some sort of conflict maybe ?

@Neoplex Yes, that will be fine.

@DirtyPixel Would it be okay with you if I modify your Better Resources mod to my liking? I would then upload files unlisted. It's only for our community server. I want to remove certain ores from space and place them on planets. Info: For unknown reasons, our community server crashed and needs to be rebuilt.

So there's a good chance I'm simply experiencing a mod conflict somewhere, but it's hard to figure out which one. In a clean world with two mods (Redistributed Ore for Better Resources + Better Resources), there are resources in the "Sell" section, but nothing in the other sections! In the full build, however, there's nothing, no matter what order I run it in.

But now I'll know how to increase the number of trading stations, since the 100 km distance between stations is inconvenient if you want to trade (I used to focus on this in survival, since there is a mod with interesting ships for sale)

@DirtyPixel Something's seriously broken (maybe just me). I did as you said, and new stations spawned nearby, but neither the old nor the new ones had any mod items in any category. Also, most of the stations now have the same sales lists (I checked 2 mining stations, 1 construction station, and 1 trading station). Looks like I'll have to start a new game.
Possible mod conflict. I'll go check it out again in my free time and write back with the results.:steamsad:

P.S. I'm writing through Google Translate.

@LurkVex Keen have said there's no way to refresh the economy unless you start a new game, but if you navigate to "%AppData%\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves\[Random Number]\[Name of Save]", there you'll find a file named "Sandbox.sbc", in that file search for "<GenerateFactionsOnStart>" and set it to "true", reload the game and you should see some of the new resources.

@Neoplex I've check the update and everything is okay, it might be worth removing, then adding the mod back in.

@LurkVex I'll look into this issue further, it seems ever since the Contacts update the economy stations have been a nightmare.
