1.1 rebuild live, thanks to @Patient Someone

Adds upgradeable storage and logistics solutions, based around the concept of Quantum Storage.

This is RT Quantum Storage reworked from scratch. This mod adds the following devices:
  • Quantum Stockpiles
Devices that are placed underneath stockpile zones in order to store more than one item or stack of items in a given space. Each stockpile connected to it's own local quantum network. When powered, these stockpiles scan zone spaces adjacent to them and, if the zone's filter allows it, pull any items onto themselves. Items are steadily superposed, so each one remains fully accessible, and nothing catastrophic will happen even if the power supply fails.

  • Quantum Warehouses
Devices that are placed underneath stockpile zones to form global quantum network of the all quantum warehouses, on top of acting like quantum stockpiles themselves. When powered, a zone's warehouse makes sure that all warehouses in the global quantum network are evenly filled and tries to minimize the amount of incomplete item stacks.

  • Quantum Relays
Stand-alone devices that can connect to the global quantum network to transfer items back and forth. When powered, relays scan adjacent stockpile zone (and storage building) spaces and send items in them to the connected network, provided that network has cells that accepts them and has higher or equal priority (compared to the scanned space). At the same time, connected network will try to push items onto the relay, as defined by relay's own filter, only one stacks of each allowed item, if relay's priority is higher or equal to that of the network's zone.

Differences from the original Quantum Storage mod:
  • No separate chunk storage and general storage. Any storage can store any item, chunk, resource, weapon or even corpse.
  • Instead of connecting all stockpiles underneath stockpile zone with warehouse, all warehouses connected to the global quantum network, no matter where they are on map. Global quantum network works only with warehouses and relays.
  • Relays pulls items from the network only by one stack of each allowed item. If item on the relay becomes disallowed, it pushes to the network automatically.

@Pos 5 Not sure what the issue is, might be connected to the new storage settings in 1.4. I have not been able to figure out how to fix it however, the code is to complex for me

Thanks for the mod! It seems to be a great mod! I'm new to use it and I got a yellow warning saying "No Quantum Storage space". What does it mean?

I'm now having an unaccessable storage area with one warehouse and several stockpiles inside, and outside the building, I'm having a lower-priority warehouse as input, a relay as output. Things are pushed to relay and there are plenty room in the storage area, I'm wondering why I'm getting this warning. Am I doing something wrong?

Little warning for anyone using this mod, if you move this mod in your mod order, it bricks any saves you have currently going. Even if you move it back into place, you get a map loading error upon loading a save.

Not to mention that it can still be fickle at times to even get working correctly.

Ok I tried to download it to see how it works and it does not seem like even the game knows. My haulers spent a good 20 minutes fighting these things tooth and nail about where items go and that's when I could actually get it to move items. And that's only with all stockpiles connected allowed everything. I turned one thing off to filter nothing happened.

@Dakkaboy My testing shows that the quantum warehouses will pull from Deep Storage tall shelves built on top of the warehouse, but won't override the shelves' max capacity per tile: if there's more items in the quantum storage than the shelf would ordinarily be able to hold, then the warehouse will dump the item onto a bordering ground tile, ignoring the shelf.

@Xylo No worries :)

I'm retarded. there is two storage tabs... Sorry dude it works fine. god damnit lol
Mlie  [author] Aug 30, 2022 @ 11:25pm
@Xylo You can see what storage tab is used if you hover on it the description should mention quantum storage if its tjis mods tab. Lwm has options for organizing storage that may explain it
Xylo Aug 30, 2022 @ 11:19pm
Ah its a mod conflict with lmw's deep storage it seems
Xylo Aug 30, 2022 @ 11:17pm
When I click Architecht>Storage I get all the normal storage items from other mods like shelves and gunracks or cabinets. when I research the quantum storage that same tab, everything gets removed from that tab
