All Bullets Matter

Mô tả
All Bullets Matter is a mod that revamps Yayo's Combat 3's Ammo System. It adds 8 industrial ammo types, pistol, shotgun intermediate (AR), rifle, and heavy. It creates a middle ground where you have to manage different ammo types but don't have to deal with the pants on head retarded bloat that CE has.

With this, it creates an area where weapons can be rebalanced by making them more effective but changing their ammo type to something more expensive. Like hard hitting Battle Rifles vs weaker automatic Assault Rifles. This design allows for some guns to be more lethal but balanced out by the resource drain, like certain mods Anti Material Rifles which shoots the same ammo as a Pistol but deals 4 times more damage.

Currently with Vanilla balancing there is too much overlap with Intermediate and Rifle. The idea was that for Rifle type vs AR type weapons, you can make them more lethal and balance it with the different ammo type.

It is in it's prototype stage but all industrial core weapons are patched. The core patch serves as an example of how easy it is to assign ammo types. "Vanilla" Yayo is left alone so weapons that have not been patched will use Yayo's Ammo. The idea of this is that you patch the weapon mods you use, there are so many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weapon mods I cannot do them all or wish to do so since I don't use them.


Rimworld is not designed for you to use massive amounts of steel for producing ammunition. I have included a new resource called the Bangberry which is to lessen the amount of steel used in recipes without reducing too much the production cost.


Pistol - 6 Steel 25 Bangberries for 100 rounds (see required mods)

Shotgun - 4 Steel 12 Bangberries for 120 rounds (designed for XND Proper Shotguns which simulates actual buckshot by shooting 6 pellets at a time) with that mod it's around 20 shots for 120 ammo consumed. No way to fix it so just pretend Shotgun ammo is by the pellet. With this you can actually use it with Yayo Combat without expending 6x the amount of ammo compared to other guns.


Intermediate (AR) - 8 Steel 25 Bangberries for 100 rounds.
Rifle - 8 Steel 25 Bangberries for 60 rounds.

Heavy - 12 Steel 35 Bangberries for 25 rounds.
Rocket - 10 Chemfuel 15 Bangberry 1 HE Shell (mortar) for 1 rocket.

HE - 25 Steel 25 Chemfuel 50 Bangberry for 25 HE rounds
EMP - 10 Steel 1 Component 20 Bangberry for 20 EMP rounds

Gauss - 25 Uranium 25 Charge Shot for 25 rounds
ChargeShot - 10 Plasteel, 1 Component, 50 Chemfuel, 50 Bangberry for 200 rounds
I envision gauss weapons to be very high performance armor penetration wise.

Caseless - 5 Plasteel 25 Chemfuel 50 Bangberry for 100 rounds
Something like a Chemfuel-Bangberry polymer case, G11 style caseless with the round encased in it's own propellant.

TODO
*Figure out how to handle spacer ammo. Probably going to be 2 main types, I can tweak ammo expended per shot so I might use a "Battery" ammo type and have different sized guns expended different amounts of energy.
*Figure out how to handle primitive ammo types, like primitive firearms. I personally think things like bows should be unlimited ammo.
*Figure why the ♥♥♥♥ I can't patch Rimsenal, the style system breaks the way I assign ammo types. Like only the guns with the different styles don't patch properly. It should work still with my first weapon mod, I'm working on a version of this that uses LTS Ammunition system which is a little more indepth than what I did using Yayo's.

Hello again, finally got around to actually playing with it and... it actually works without me having to do anything, so that's kind of embarrassing I asked without actually verifying. I figured it wouldn't work for some reason. I just ignore the little red error saying there's a problem and it's functioning just fine.

This particular mod is easy to update, just needs to point to the new Yayo's Combat, it's making a weapon mods that are compatible the bitch. I structured my new weapon mod ZAII to be easy to make compatible but I'm too tired to do it, I was trying to make a version combat extended compatible and that became a headache and then I stopped. I'm waiting for me to want to get back into RW and make a new modlist to update this. I'm not sure what this mod really adds, I've played my normal weapon mod with just certain guns consuming extra ammo (antimaterial rifles) and it's pretty much the same experience.
