Vanilla Maps - REMASTERED

Description
Welcome to Mountain Meadows!

Important Info at the Bottom

This is an updated version of the old map that was my VERY FIRST remaster of the base-game maps. I released the original version with the NexT 2 mod which could prove to be an inconvenience to some that play completely vanilla, or just don't like that mod at all.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Me Rambling

So I decided to just update the roads to vanilla highways, then I decided to re-do the start square intersection to a SPUI (single-point interchange), then I decided to finish the road connections from the top and bottom of the map, so two more interchanges were added. Then when I was messing about moving the trees off the road networks, that I remove all of them and replant them, then I saw how I wanted to smooth out some of the mountains, and then that turned into completely re-doing some of them because I didn't like them Haha! Once that was done, I then decided to put in a dam to create a nice lake then it was back to re-doing some of the roads and some minor terrain work, again! So that prompted me to connect the roads together, then I added a bunch of detailing to the creeks and river banks for some interest. I also did some detailing around other parts of the map which you'll get to see!
Once all that was done, then it was time for triple-checking that nothing was out of place, for instance, no trees dangling on cliffs, or swimming in the water, no props sticking through the networks, or any of that dreaded blue mantle under the bridges!
Needless to say, this project was only intended to update the roadways and other minor stuff, but this turned into a whole 50+ hour endeavor on completely overhauling the map, again! It's taken me a whole month and a half during my down time to get it just the way I want it, so I hope ya'll enjoy!

IMPORTANT INFO

In the pictures taken, I built this map and uploaded it using the following mods:
Node Controller
Intersection Marking Tool

You DO NOT need to be subscribed to these items in order for the map to work or load. I have successfully loaded the map on a completely VANILLA play test with no issues.
I say again, YOU DO NOT NEED ANY MODS for this map.
In fact, you don't even need any DLC's either!

I just wanted to use these mods during my build to not only get some practice in, but to make the map more presentable to those of you that already have these mods. And besides, ya'll should definitely grab those mods! Very little or no noticeable performance changes to my game, and makes your roads look WAY COOLER!

Pictures taken with Relight with the Relight Neutral LUT.
Tonemapping:
Brightness: 1.0
Gamma: 0.8
Contrast: 0.7

Theme used: Germany Theme by Me, of course!

Old map: Mountain Meadows

If you enjoy or really like this map, be sure to give it a THUMBS UP and Favorite!
Happy building and God bless!

This is *THE MOST* beautiful map in C:S I have ever seen. It is even hard to imagine how could one put these tons of details inside with only vanilla playset. Wonderful work SanditeSpartan117!

Hi, I really love this map and in fact I build 2 cities on it and I would like to ask you a question, are you planning on making a map with same style as this one? With that I mean mountains, hills, rivers but also flat areas.
PS: This is definetely best map I've had so far! Loving it!

Good morning Dear SanditeSpartan117, thank you so much for your quick and detailed response. Just to tell you that even here in good old Europe we share train tracks ;-), but i guess ingame it's a problem of CO respectively the AI in Cities skylines. No matter - i'll continue playing your maps! ;-)

Also, greetings from the great city of Tulsa, Oklahoma :)

Hey marc, I'm glad you're enjoying my remastered maps! I do not have the Sunset Harbor or Airports DLC's as I am very hesitant on buying new content for a game that is 6 years old now and is due for an upgrade very soon haha. So if you get nice fishing areas, it's completely not by design because I cannot see that layer, but I do try to keep it in mind! And as for the train tracks, you will have to separate them yourself if you want a more realistic layout, but most passenger trains here in the U.S. share tracks with freight trains, you Europeans are on another level ;-)

Hello again. When starting the map, it turned out that there are in fact fishing areas...just didn't know that before as not mentioned in your description. So everything is fine for the moment except the question about separated train tracks. ;-)

Dear SanditeSpartan117, when searching for nice playable maps just have discovered your remastered ones. I really love all of them!!!! Landscapes are so beautiful and especially the intersections are extraordinary!
As I recently added Sunset Harbor DLC to my collection, i would like to also have fishing industry – would it be possible for you to add that „feature“ into some of your remastered maps?

My second question: could you separate train tracks in order to avoid those ennoying train-traffic-jams (between passenger and cargo trains) or should i do that myself?
I’ve learned you are on college and therefore your time resources are restricted. But it would be great to have at least possibilities for fishing in your maps. Thank you in advance for your efforts. Nice greetings from Vienna, Austria.
