Description
A sequel to my River Wharf release, the City Wharves pack contains two double-sided ferry piers, based off the wharves in Circular Quay, Sydney, and ten props great for use around wharves, which are also placed around the buildings.

These wharves are generic and use the Ryde colour scheme, there will be a subsequent pack that more explicitly recreates wharves 2-6, with TfNSW signage, the other custom shops, etc.

ALERT! ATTENTION! I WILL NOT HELP YOU IN THE COMMENTS. WATCH THE VIDEO.

Listen up, this isn't a toy, folks. It's busted right out the gate. Road anarchy must be activated to place it, and if you want it to work properly you need to use MoveIt, which is why it is a required item (everyone has it, but I want to be clear that this requires it).

Watch the video in the gallery for a more detailed explanation and tutorial, but to give you a quick summary, people will get off the boat on the wrong side by default, and float in mid-air. After placing the building you need to enter the transport overlay and swap the stop lanes for them to get out towards the wharf. You will very likely need to test and adjust more to get them to enter and leave the building. Pathing is a pain. If you don't care about people getting where they're going and it's just a cosmetic thing, there are various points at which you can say good enough, but I think at a minimum you should swap the lanes.

Downvote all you like (you've only got one thumb to give), I don't blame ya, it can be a headache. These took me two months and I'm very proud of it, can't wait to share the remaining assets for Circular Quay and get some nice screenshots going, but wanted to share this for now. I've given you the tools and the information. Anything else is a YP (your problem). :)

Contents
City Wharf
City Pontoon Wharf
Sydney ferry information (not placed in these generic ones)
Wharf bollard
Wharf fire hose
Wharf water pump
Wharf boarding ramp
Wharf ladder
Wharf storage shed large
Wharf storage shed small
Glass fence prop (frame)
Glass fence prop (glass)

The wharf main buildings share textures, the submeshes have shared textures and shared LOD textures, 7 of the 10 props share textures (bollard, info and glass have their own), 8 of them share LOD textures. Can't calculate it easily but there's a lot of LSM savings.

the best tip I can give is that the stop swapping is a cosmetic step (so that they aren't floating over the water) rather than a functional one - the only thing determines if they enter the building, or leave it when dropped off, is establishing a pedestrian connection to a network. There's a lot of ways for it to break but there's nothing to fix - I won't be testing or updating it until CSL2.

I'm placing using road anarchy, I'm swapping the stops with MoveIt, but people refuse to use it. Zero passengers until I replace it with a vanilla ferry stop.

they're too small for a cruise ship, and would also need to be re-oriented. short answer is no.

You should try to uncheck the "follow terrain" option in the move it mod. I almost never use this option as it is super annoying
