Welcome to "Chant of the Forgotten" a mod that aims to give new focuses and ideas to all those countries that have been abandoned by Paradox, or have received pitiful DLC focuses.

[Some things to consider]
-The mod is not suited to be played in 1939.
-The AI of Austria is set to follow the German-aligned fascist branch.
-The AI of the warlords is set to collaborate with China.
-The AI of Chile and Argentina is set to go democratic. They may join the allies depending on the circumstances. Chile may form its own faction too depending on the circumstances.
-The AI of Paraguay is set to go communist->democratic->fascist. They may join the Axis depending on the circumstances.
-The AI of the Philippines and Mongolia is set to follow their overlords.
-The AI of Brazil is set to go fascist and eventually join the Allies.
-If you own "Battle for the Bosphorus", this mod will fix the requirements of the Turkish focuses, so they don't join other factions while they are a puppet.
-For all the focuses to work properly, you must own the DLC "La Resistance", "Together for Victory" and "Waking the Tiger". ("Death or Dishonor" is necessary for the new focuses for Hungary and Czechoslovakia, and "Man the Guns" for the new focuses for the USA and Mexico. However if you have no intention of playing them those DLC are not necessary.)

Some of the Features:

-A new focus tree for Korea, Sinkiang, Xibei San Ma, Shanxi, Yunnan, Guangxi, Vietnam, Mongolia, the Philippines, Austria, Ukraine, Chile, Argentina, Paraguay, Bolivia and Brazil.
-A new branch for the Central American countries (besides Panama).
-New focuses for China, the PRC, Japan, Manchukuo, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Romania, Germany, France, Portugal, Spain, Yugoslavia, Greece, the USA, Mexico, Canada, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and India.
-More accurate state distribution in China and South America.
-New ideology types/sub-ideologies, as well as different ideology icons for every ideology type.
-New states in Europe, Asia and South America.
-New events, decisions and ideas.
-New leaders, generals, admirals, flags and traits.
-Great changes to the PRC infiltration mechanic.
-Many new Reichskommissariats.
-A new mechanic for Japan: "The Fading Sun". If Japan loses the Second Sino-Japanese war, they won't seek to keep expanding, so no more Japanese invading Indochina and Indonesia after losing most of their colonies and 1M manpower against the Chinese.
-A new mechanic for Japan: "The Famine". If Japan starts a war against Manchukuo or Manchukuo ceases its existence, Japan will suffer of a famine.
-The Soviet Union will now become green if its ideology is not Communism.

How do I play as ____?

Vietnam: Play as France. Around September 1936 and January 1937 you will get events regarding revolts in Indochina, if you select the right options you will be able to play as the Indochinese revolt.

Korea: Play as Japan. After completing either "The Unthinkable Option", "Purge the Kodoha Faction" or "Support the Kodoha Faction" you will get an event regarding assimilation policies in Korea. If you select the right options, in 30 days you will be able to play as the Korean revolt.

Ukraine: Play as the Soviet Union. If you have any sort of civil war, may it be due to not carrying out the Great Purge or a political advisor, an Ukranian revolt will occur and you will be able to play as them.

[Don't release one of these countries normally and play as them. Many focuses will not work if you do so.]

"Kwantung": If you wish to play the Kwantung branch for Manchukuo, you must play as Manchukuo and have Japan complete the "Cast the Die" focus. You may do it by setting Japan to go communist in the gamerules, to then play as Manchukuo and wait for them to complete the focus (remember this branch is only allowed for the "Obedience" branch).

"Toyohiko": If you want to play the new communist branch, you must start the communist civil war by completing the "Cast the Die" focus. Then you will get a mission in which if the time runs out, you will get an event. If you appoint Toyohiko, the civil war will continue under his leadership and you will be able to access his focus branch.

"Tohokai", "Kokumin Domei": If you want to play the new fascist branches, you must choose not to form the Taisei Yokusantai. Then you will be able to access those focus branches.

"Yiguandao": If you wish to play the Yiguandao branch for Manchukuo, you must not accept the help of Cao Kun and Wu Peifu after completing the "Assertiveness" focus, and then accept the help of the Yiguandao.
