Hordes of Asia Pre-Alpha [Pre-No Step Back]

There is silence, a moment of nothing but pure bliss on a peaceful hillside. Then, a sharp rumble breaks the graceful mood. The vibration is so sharp, it at first seems like an earthquake, but this can’t be. It grows closer. The echo of thousands of horsemen emerging from the Steppe can be heard from miles away.

The Steppe is a vast territory. Spanning over the Altaic Mountains, Manchuria, and Past the Urals, Ob, and Volga River. Today, Russia owns a vast amount of this land. Before the 16th Century, various tribes and nomadic groups traveled among this land, mastering the arts of cavalry.


The Hordes of Asia timeline starts at the dawn of the 16th Century and boasts over 200 selectable and unique countries. The untimely collapse of the Great Ming was encouraged by a prolonged Tumu Crisis. Since, Anatolia has been splintered as a result of Timurid's campaigns into the Ottoman Empire.


This mod is in it’s Pre-Alpha stage. It will undergo serious development before it receives an official release. You do not necessarily need ‘Death or Dishonor’ for Hordes of Asia to be playable. I added some generic focus tree icons which are only visible through DoD, but the game itself runs fine without it.


This mod wouldn't be as visually appealing if not for the Flag Flickering Fix Mod.
