Description
Allows you to apply Marks of Chaos to some of the units in the Chaos roster. This dedicates the unit to one of the four Chaos Gods, it gets God-related bonuses and the unit's visual appearance changes. Marks are a thing on the tabletop and will likely appear in WH3.

You get a mark for razing a settlement, and can then spend that mark to upgrade a unit to a marked version. Chosen units require two marks.

You can apply marks to the following units:
Chaos Warriors
Chosen
Aspiring Champions
Forsaken
Chaos Knights
Chariots

Mark of Khorne will give the unit Frenzy, Berserk and flaming attacks.
Mark of Tzeentch units will give your army Winds of Magic and campaign line of sight bonuses, magic resistance, ward save and magical attacks.
Mark of Slaanesh will give the unit Immune to Psychology, Cause Terror, increased leadership, increased Speed and lowered armour. Marked Slaanesh Chosen units have Unbreakable.
Mark of Nurgle will give the unit Regeneration, a Melee Attack debuff aura and Strong Vigour. Marked Nurgle Chosen units inflict Poison and have Perfect Vigour.

The ME chaos invasion armies will have a few of the marked units in their compositions.
The main Upgrade Units mod is required, but you can disable all the unit upgrade the main Upgrade Units mod comes with if you so wish, details on that mod's page.
I suggest you use my Ruins Settling Cooldown mod if you're going to play chaos.

Compatibility:
The SFO Submod.
The CTT Submod.

For other overhauls:
So each variant is a new unit, and I need to give that unit stats. The stats are based on vanilla game stats, meaning if you have mods that overwrite stats for, for example Chaos Warriors, my Marked Chaos Warrior variants will still be based on vanilla stats.
Each of the other overhaul mods would require a submod that changes stats of variant units to be closer to the stats in the overhaul.

This is the Russian translation submod by ss7877.

Credits to Adopotato for making each of the 4 Chaos God reskins that are used in this mod, and to JvJ for doing the ungodly amount of database work to split those reskins into variant units.
Thanks a lot to crisord for making the thumbnail. <3

The original reskin mods: Khorne, Nurgle, Tzeentch, Slaanesh

Well this is still working with SFO via the Submod in 2023. Loaded up a new campaign and saw the incredible looking buildings for each of the Four. But I'm surprised this can't be used by Beastmen? Any submod that enables this amazing looking mod for Beastmen in SFO?

Even tho Malal is no longer in warhammer (only malice is) can you make a mark of Malal? Maybe it would have you do more damage to chaos worshipping factions but also have the factions do a little more damage to you (as if Malal is eating your troops souls)

Slaanesh marks are so bad. Would be a lot better extra Melee Defence and Speed

I bloody hope CA are implementing this for the WH3 WoC rework

Is there a simple way to fix post-siege options if other mods also change them?

For vanilla, marks of chaos mod on large unit scale is making Aspiring Champions have 2376 health for the marked units while the regular Aspirign Champions have 2856 health
