Description
This mod is currently heavely outdated. I am currently working on a better and more HOLY version of it, wich will work with the most recent updates. If you want to salvage some art, code or ANYTHING you need for your own mod, don't ask JUST DO IT ! Of course credit is always welcomed :)

GUN. THEM. DOWN ! is a mod that overhaul almost every facet of the game, especially the difficulty. Many new missions have been added, as well as a marked increase in the lethality of the breeding grounds missions. Creatures are more dangerous, more numerous, more vicious and above all relentless. You will have at your disposal an improved arsenal, an enlarged storage space, diving equipment which consumes less oxygen, the possibility of manufacturing almost all the objects usable in game, including weapons and ammunition and many more things. You will even have the possibility to use a backpack which can allow you to carry more objects, but also to secure alien artifacts in it. But all these advantages are not without consequences. You are going to NEED all of your resources to survive in GTD.

Hire the best crew, prepare your best submarine, for the Abysses of Europa are now merciless.

CREATURES :

- Legacy crawlers : replace crawlers and husked crawlers. They are faster, stronger and numerous, but very slow on dry spaces.
- Mantis replace mudraptors. They are more resilient, stronger, very effective hull breacher and can combo-stunlock you if you are alone without armor.
- Human Husks no longer sprint, can regenerate and even reanimate themself if not killed while they bleed out !
- Husk no longer sprint, can regenerate, are more resilient, can damage the hull and will be knocked out if their HP fall under 50%.
- Legacy Husks sprint very fast, can damage the hull, do more damage and are more resilient than the other two husk variant. They are also knowked out when their HP fall under 50% and they regenrate very slowly.
- Legacy threshers replace both tiger and bone threshers. They are far more resisilient, faster, extremely aggresive and can damage seriously the hull. They also have the tendency to go berserk and kill everything on sight.
- Hammerheads and Gold Hammerhead are extremely fast, can cause massive damage on the hull, and will use a hit and run tactic, making them hard to hit. Railguns and Explosive ammunition are the perfect counter to them.
- Hammerhead Matriarch are extremely fast and will seek to explode themself on the sub, massively breaching it while injecting more hammerhead spawns than vanilla in the rooms.
- Hammerhead spawns are almost the same as vanilla, but they do now very little damage to the hull.
- Molochs are extremly aggresive and will seek to push the sub around causing you slight internal damage and a very short stun. They also attack faster, move faster, and are very good hull breacher.
- Black Molochs are faster, more agressive and have a reduced cooldown on their lightning attack. They are also very resilient (Only encountered in a specific mission with baby moloch)
- Charybdis are rare, but deadly opponent. They don't attack the hull that often, but are a threat to anyone outside. they are extremely fast and do massive damage. Expect to be hit a lot by it.
- Endworms move twice as fast, seek to devour divers, seek to ram the ship into a wall or into the abysses and do a very high massive amount of damage to everything. They also no longer use a hit and run tactic : they will grab the ship and shake it to make people go out. They are however countered by Thresher swarms and Thalamus. Also bring a lot of ammo.


THALAMUS :

- Thalamus's organs are more resillient but no longer immune to certain sources of damage.
- Fleshguns can now fire two projectiles to grapple the hull instead of just one. However they have a slower firerate.
- Spikes now deal massive damage to everything, including humans, also, more red cells are spawned.
- Controlled Coilguns can be loaded with explosive ammo
- Controlled Railguns can be loaded with nukes, be aware !
- Green cells are far more numerous and will try to slowly diggest the hull


JOBS :

- Captain : Somewhat good at everything, usually played by leading people [120 HP]
- Navigator : Very good a steering [100 HP]
- Gun Operator : They are very skilled in weaponry, and average in both type of repairs but are pretty fragile. They are best used to man the gunnery [80 HP]
- Troopers : Pretty good in weaponry, but poor in everything else. They are very resilient and make good divers [150 HP]
- Pharmacologist : They use the new pharmacology skill to craft medicine very effectively. They are average at healing [80 HP]
- First Responder : They heal people and help in diving missions, they cannot longer craft medicine as fast as before [ 100 HP]
- Nuclear Operator : They use the new Nuclear Engineering skill to repair and man the reactor. They also craft everything Nuclear/Physicorium/Fulgurium related. [100 HP]
- Manufacturer : They use the new fabrication skill to craft almost eveything non-related to Nuclear and Pharmacology. Tey can even craft weapons ! [80 HP]
- Electrician : The best at repairing electrical stuff ! [100 HP]
- Welders : The best at repairing mechanical stuff and to fix the hull ! [100 HP]
- Apprentice : Average at everything but very fragile. [50 HP]


SKILLS :

- Mechanical Engineering is no longer used for crafting
- Medical is no longer used to craft medicine
- Weaponry is no longer used to craft weapons or explosives
- Nuclear Engineering is a new skill used to repair and use the reactor. It's also used to craft fuel and nuclear/alien ammunition (fulgurium and physicorium)
- Pharmacology is a new skill used to craft medicine
- Fabrication is a new skill used to craft anything that is not Nuclear, Alien or Medicine related. This skill is also used to craft weaponry and ammo !


WEAPONS :

- Every ranged weapons (Flamer excluded) can be modified to hold a flashlight using a fabricator
- Flamers are now more deadly and useful to fight husks
- Shotguns can now hold 8 shells are fire more projectiles at once. They also have an increased knockback and reduce spread.
- Revolvers do more damages
- SMG have doubled magazine capacity, increased damage and firerate
- 40mm Super-Kinetic replace 40mm Explosive grenades
- 40mm Super-Sleep replace 40mm stun grenades
- Grenade launcher launch projectile faster and in a more straight line
- Harpoon's guns can only hold one spear, but deal far more bleeding damage than usual. The regular spear now only need 1 iron to be crafted, and can be put in toolboxes/lockers/cabinets (they are considered smallitems now)
- Stun Guns can now hold 3 darts and deal burn damage, and darts are crafted using 1 iron + 1 FGPA component
- Stun Batons have more charge per battery

SOUNDS : Most of the sounds have been overhauled, like the sonar for instance.

@Eli hi !

As long as Really Big Map is under GTD in the mod load order, it is compatible. However, you may have noticed that the map and level generation is almost as big as RBM, with less minerals tho.
