**AYUTTHAYA**
To the east, the villagers who had been enjoying the open skies fled inside mosques as clouds began to gather. Traders hurriedly gathered their ships and sailed as far away as they could. Upon the seventy-two inhabited islands where the villagers belonged, the monsoon descended once again with terror and ferocity...
**TERNATE**
The monsoon receded, and the villagers began to straddle out of their hidey-holes, but their hearts swelled once again with dread as the black mass of cloud gravitated towards the neighbouring island; its temples, courts and harbors all at the mercy of the monsoon. They were ancient rivals of the people there, but the terrifying force of nature had bonded them in fear...
**TIDORE**
The storms pick wind and batter against the lakes once again. The strong rains had diverted the waters and the lake swelled once again as the storm returned. It was no matter, they had endured so much and came out of it gleaming still. The rains fall down, a relief to the people.
**CAMBODIA**
The seas raged on as the monsoon winds returned. Although the settlement was often free from the winds of the west and the east, the typhoon had passed through and made the men wary. The steamers hurried along the coast, salvaging what had been left in the path of the typhoon as the rainclouds began to shatter once more.
**SARAWAK**
The Storm rages on with a vengeance, but a message arrives in the harbor amidst the rain and winds. The fleet has been delayed, but it is finally arriving soon, and the Queen's general shall be making his grand entrance.

Atop a lonely battlement, a rooster crows, but it is not morning. Walls of fog heavy with tiny vortexes approach the harbour and engulf it, casting the bewildered residents in a sea of haze. The local muezzin attempts a call to prayer, but his voice is disturbed by thunder in the distance, and the soft patter of rain upon high seas. They had avoided the inevitable for so long, but the terrors of reality caught up with them. The monsoon was coming for them.
**MALACCA**
The winds whipped up across nusantara once again after a breief respite. The rooster crows more frantically as rolling pillars of dark clouds cascade across the heavens to the east. The muezzin here too attempted a call to prayer, but the rain barrelled down before he could finish. A thunderous volley of rains fell upon the coastal town as the winds picked up fuel from the sea. The monsoon was returning.
**GOWA**
The eastern winds continued to blow over the monsoon. The peoples on the shoreline huddled for cover, approaching the trees for protection from the lashing rain and howling winds. The trade voyages were still out at sea, and with the waves getting higher by the minute, everyone was praying that the pottery would make it safely to its destination. The storm was sure to end one day, but none could be sure when...
**MOTU**
The ocean waves surge up as the monsoon winds push inwards from the mighty Pacific ocean. The dark clouds streaked across the afternoon sky. The fledgling new nation had had its path interrupted many times, but the fighting may have to wait for the storms and tides wait for no man. The monsoon was striking the last sanctuary from the storm
**EAST TIMOR**
The monsoon continues to ravage the east. The locals are desperate, scrambling for shelter behind their shields and moving like phantoms amongst the trees - but as the storm rages, the man who cannot die emerges from his valley to fight the downpour itself in its final days. And the end will surely come soon.
**WAHGI**
Through the pelting rain, the citizens looked out over the bay at thinning clouds. Its waves were no longer a rich green but a stormy dark mass slamming into the rocks. The rains had been harsh and the riverbanks had not contained the surge of water, but hope remained behind the stormy grey clouds. The monsoon was fading
**DAI VIET**
After what seems like a lifetime of torrential rains, the sun peeks behind storm-gray clouds. A cool mountain breeze caresses the verdant stalks standing proud in their paddies, their leaves heavy with raindrops glistening in the sunlight. From this high up, one can see the foaming rivers of Indochina, the spice-laden islands of Indonesia, and even distant Papua. All is peaceful here; all is calm.
