  • More realistic landscapes, ranging from very easy to extreme climates, with more realistic grass, forests and dimensions of the land forms. More rain, blizzards and less very-loud-storms.

  • More realistic village, with tens of tribesmen, that, like in historic Neolithic, can easily reach hundred(s) of people before advancing to later eras. Migrants are very rare. Inventing new technology is rare, so most new ideas are learned from neighbors (through trade). By the time you advance, your settlement has grown. Also, your advancements will not cause fauna, migration, birth rate or enemies to change.

  • More realistic neighboring warrior tribes will either attack in large numbers, as they will not risk a suicidal attack (Hardcore mode), or not at all (Normal mode). The vast majority of settlements in history were conquered, so the vast majority of players will be defeated as well. If you are not an expert, do not play Hardcore mode, Normal mode is quite difficult in harder climates.

Note: You can not place sticks work areas on less than 5 sticks; if you find less sticks, press C three times to maximize work area size, and rotate the orange circle around them, until it encircles nearby sticks and becomes yellow.

Note: To check how many pregnancies you have, press F2 to open demographic stats, and hover over Adult Women.

Sound fix: if, like me, you do not hear all animal sounds, people talking, birds singing, river flowing noise, or mammoth foot steps, just go to Settings and change Audio music/sfx/ui volumes from 10/10/10 to 0/10/1, and increase a lot your speakers volume (test near a river).

Note: Previous versions are no longer supported, so please post future comments about latest version only, in order to avoid confusion. In all comments reporting issues, please also specify the version, map, and mode (like "v4, Wooded Hills, Normal"), and as much details about the issue as you can, otherwise I might not be able to fix the issue properly.

I think i have understood how to deal with the raiders now, i have tried many times with this mod. One thing that sometimes ruin the game for me is the automatic save, a few times it has happened in sutch a bad timing so i had sent many hunters to do a full winter collection of food and stuff. Suddenly after autosave the raiders attack and the warning comes while they are close to my village and theres no chance for me to get the hunting party back to help defending. This will result in loss of to many people so i have to rebuild pop before next raid instead of progressing. Can u turn off the autosave?.

I've played for hours, reached a population of 200, have invented steel, but I didn't encounter a single enemy!
It's getting a bit boring now that I have every invention and used up all copper, tin and megaliths on the map.
Every villager has a steel sword and a mail armor. I want to fight!
Am I missing something?

First of all, I love the maps. They are all gorgeous and really well done. The play is quite challenging as promised and really great for experienced players who need a new spin on the game. I like the challenge however the biggest challenge is actually growing the population which tends to stay stagnant despite the vitality of the settlement. Some maps are just easier to thrive than others and that's the point.
