1. Introduction
✪ This mod features historical speeches and songs available through decisions from 1936 to 1945.

Currently, the mod features about 5h38min of audios, 78 original speeches/broadcasts + 42 of their duplicate arranged with music + 20 songs. The duration of most decisions is between 1 and 4 minutes. Their duration appears in their title in game.
Covered countries are the following: France, Germany, Italy, Japan, United Kingdom, USA, USSR, Poland, New Zealand, Hungary, People’s Republic of China, Republic of China, Romania, Nationalist Spain, Republican Spain, Finland, Norway and Greece.

The mod is playable wihtout DLC. But some decisions requiere DLCs.

Executing a decision triggers an audio file that plays in game.
☛ Decisions become visible and available under scripted conditions (designed to match as closely as possible historicity and authenticity). Note: if you diverge from the historical path, some speeches and songs may not be available.
Those decisions have no effect whatsoever on gameplay and have no cost.
Subtitles in english for all speeches and songs are given in tooltips. Translations for all game languages will come step by step; there are already dozens.

➤ AIMED FOR A START IN 1936 WITH HISTORICAL NATIONAL FOCUSES ON
We recommend starting the game in 1936 in order to enjoy all speeches and songs. If you start in 1939 nonetheless, you will miss a lot of speeches and you'll begin the game with a couple of anachronies.
In a general way, the more you are connected to the history, the more speeches you will benefit.
⚠ If historical focuses are set OFF, it would cause several unknown and unintended distorsions and anachronies.

✎ All speeches are clean from racist or anti-semitic references.

✎ The idea behind this mod is taken from @vpl300’s “Decisions: Speeches Audio” mod. However no audio file whatsoever was taken from his mod. We started all over again. The four main differences between our mod and his are:
- in this mod, the decisions do not influence the gameplay in any way (the speeches have no effects and do not cost any political power): they’re just for immersion.
- full subtitles in english (and in all languages for a dozen of them).
- a different UI design.
- our speeches are noticeably longer.
- this mod includes : musics and songs, and musical speeches specially arranged with copywright free music.

✎ Don’t trigger speeches or songs more than once at a time or they will stack and become inaudible.

2. Mod’s architecture
There are two kinds of speeches and songs:
  • MAJOR speeches and songs, listenable by all nations.

  • MINOR speeches and songs, available only for the nation you’re currently playing (or for a very limited number of nations, like neighbors, puppets, or countries at war with).

► Consequently, 2 different categories appear in game:
  • NATIONAL speeches and songs (corresponding to the nation you’re currently playing). Speeches are available for 30 days and can be triggered once, while songs are available permanently and can be triggered as many times as you want. Once triggered, they appear during 30 days so you have time to read the subtitles.

  • FOREIGN speeches and songs (corresponding to all other nations). Foreign speeches are available once for 30 days and foreign songs can be triggered once. A little flag before the titles shows the origin of the speech or song.

Speeches that come with music appear with the mention "(with music)".

3. Recommended settings
♫ Audio settings:
Lower the music to 25%.
For songs and speeches with music, pause the music.

4. Alternative version: for Austria and Germany
The legal version in Austria and Germany: the song "Horst wessel lied" has been removed from the original mod (it's forbidden in these countries). Find it here https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2804661357

5. Current version, compatibility and supported languages
✓ Compatible with 1.17.* ✓ Works also without DLC ✓ Supported languages: - (full): English. - (decision section titles and decisions titles): French, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, German, Polish, German, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. - Already dozens of full texts in all languages (it will be completed step by step) ✓ Historical Portraits and its submod, Historical[A] National Focus Dates, Historical World War II, Reichskommissariats Plus, GEACPS Plus
× NOT IRONMAN COMPATIBLE × Known incompatibilities: × Expert AI 5.0, World Ablaze, and total history changer mods like Millenium Dawn, Road to 56, Kaizerreich... × other speeches mod (like “Decisions: Speeches Audio”). × you should avoid mods that change national focuses, except @Scotvince’s “Historical National Focuses Dates”: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1706305333

6. Known issue
⚠ A known non-intended effect in multiplayer sessions is that a minor decision launched by a player will be heard by all other players. Currently, I am unable to change this issue.

:diplomacy: 1.17 update. Speech codes for China, Chinese Soviet Republic and Japan have been rewritten to be fully compatible with the new vanilla codes and historical scenarios. Be aware that you need the new DLC.

@Podex Hi, it is not, because the conditions of the speeches often depand on the completion of focuses.
