Civilians Revamped:

THANKS: To Mr. Nice for helping on some code to better hide the hidden Faceless from prying mods that give internal stats away.

What this mod does...

All Civilians, friendly, hostile or hidden Faceless now react to the fighting around them. No more hunker in one spot to let the enemy shoot at them turn after turn. The civilians will now run as soon as you get close to (hostiles) or the enemy gets close to (your friendly civilians). Hidden Faceless will also run to better look like they are any other human. Hidden Faceless (in human form) are now set as ONLY humans and no longer alien (in the code).

This means, not only will they now move and act more human, but the other enemies will fire at them as if they were any other human. This better helps them hide and you not know for sure who is who or what is what. All civilians now have 15 mobility up from 12.

why? Well... they do not have weapons nor do they have other heavy gear on. They should be able to run faster/farther. Wouldn't you run and dip, dodge, duck if you was being shot at? I know I would ;)

Hidden Faceless in the field are supposed to be hidden and in disguise right? So other enemies (at least most) would not even know they are Faceless. Its all part of the disguise and ploy to trick you so they now have a smaller % chance to change when you are near.

All civilians now have 3 HP and no longer have the "Easy to hit" ability that would allow the enemy to shoot them with ease. Again, if you're running and hiding, the enemy should not have it easy either. Make them work for the kill I say!!!!!

Civilians on retaliations missions that are in the fog of war will now keep moving so you don't have it easy finding them as well as moving away from the enemies hunting them.

And lastly, no more hostile civilians waiting for you to move at them and then calmly walking away. They now turn and run as soon as they see you coming, try and keep their distance and not be in your way.

Also the ID for this mod that you can put into your search bar in your mod folder is 1596673682.

For anyone who anyone who loves this mod [like me] but wishes the Faceless would still be a surprise instead of always getting shot by their friends do this. Go to XComGameData_CharacterStats in the mod config and go to the faceless civilian template and set their defense and dodge to 100, doing this makes the enemy AI fire at them and accidentally "miss" so they are still undetecatble to XCOM [and in the event they do get hit the dodge will drop the damage to 1]. I am not sure if this will work for mods that reveal internal stats to you, try it and get back to me.

Super cool mod, I like it a lot.
However Faceless being fired at by their friends doesn't really help them blend in when they just get hit and lose their disguise lol

@DanMan Yeah, it's nice to see these survivors actually show some sense of self-preservation now.

One of my favourite mods!! Civilians actually stand a chance now and doing retaliation missions are less painful.

this moving slow away from danger seems a modconflict, try using load order by modving this mod out of the workshop so it loads last. You have to unsubscribe after and set the alternate mod manager a new modfile entry, so its shows this mod. best you use google for that. You have to refresh xcom inis after that aswell

Yes, I was testing my LWOTC modjam with this mod and it causes crashes everytime at the end of Faceless Spy missions. However, you can work around by saving the game before the last hit, since when you load the game after the crash it works normally.

Civilians walk VERY SLOWLY when moving away from danger. Is there a fix for this?

nice looking forward to run this, always seemed dumb to me to have them squatted in the open with 3 advent shooting at him get behind something like wtf.
