Description

Feel the glory dyeing the battlefield with the blood of your enemies!

This mod includes new blood textures and prevents blood stains to disappear from the ground. There is also available a variation of this mod with downsized textures to achieve a more "realistic" look (check the links below).

- Compatible with saved games (no need to start a new campaign) and with patch 20 (Ancestral Update).

- Blood & Gore DLC required.

INSTALLATION

1. Subscribe the mod -> requires Blood & Gore DLC for the blood effects.
2. Choose and download just one of the files at:

- Para Bellum - Effects movie.pack <- Includes blood, dust, fire and smoke effects.
- Para Bellum - Effects Lite movie.pack <- Only blood effects (less GPU intensive).
3. Put the file in the "data" folder of the game directory, located in: \Steam\steamapps\common\Total War Rome II\data.
4. Go into Options-> Mods in the game menu and enable the use of Movie type mods.
5. Set the terrain quality to Very High/Ultra to prevent blood stains to disappear from the ground.

@Willz, I have the blood_rome2.pack in my data folder and the option to enable it in the ingame graphic options so yeah, it's installed. I do have very small amounts of blood but nowhere near what the pictures of this mod show. Do you have that much blood?

@Praise_Lord_Gaben Thanks for the file. At the risk of insult, but only since this mod is working for me, are you certain you have the Blood & Gore DLC installed? I made the mistake of assuming that blood and gore would be part of the base game some time ago (silly me), and was surprised to find it required separate purchase. Anyway, thanks again for the file.

I've uploaded the Para Bellum [1drv.ms]file required by this mod on Onedrive, since the original is down. I hope this is allowed.
Fair warning: this blood mod does not work for me even with the extra file and all the correct settings. I never have any blood in game, no matter what.
