Description
Mod adds to the game 7 religious systems that gives small bonuses: animism, monotheism, polytheism, pantheism, secularism, atheism and materialism.
The religious affiliation of the population is not constant, but changes with time.

How it works:

Each pop belongs to one of the seven religious systems.
Every 2 years (on average) one of the pops on the planet changes its religion to one of the available ones. Religious systems are made available through open borders and the spread of the religious system.
The probability that a settler will adopt a particular religious system depends on many factors, for example, the prevalence of this system in the empire, buildings on the planet, religious policies, ethics, etc.

The spread of religious systems in the empire can be influenced by religious policy and a planetary edict.

Depending on the religious system, other empires have opinion modifiers ranging from -40 to +40. The religious systems of other empires can be found using the new map mode.

Mod also adds 4 civilian models for spiritualistic empires:
1) Holy society - with a low probability, leaders will receive an additional "Saint" trait;
2) Sacrifices - from time to time it will be necessary to sacrifice resources or settlers in exchange for different bonuses;
3) Last journey - after the death of the leaders they must be sent to another world (the exchange of resources for influence and unity);
4) Seekers - from time to time the empire will receive a modifier that stimulates colonization.

Yes, there is such an event. It should appear after 40 years of peace. Seems like 12 month pop up is a bug.

I routinely play empires with some degree of Militarist and I have never seen any event like that in my stellaris carrer. I'm almost certain you have the wrong mod.

@Danwar
I can assure you it does have an event called lasting peace for militarists. Or "Lasting Peace" as it pops up.

I know this for a fact since I found it in the script and edited out. It is located in the events folder in the rel_events.txt

With the header: # Long peace for militarists

So yes I did post it in the correct mod.

Cheers ladyo

@alexandrup1988

As far as I know, this mod does not have that event. You must have posted in the wrong mod.

First off great mod. It has been a stable load in my mod order since you launched it.

Just a request, please, please, please, please change the "Long peace for militarists" event. It is driving me insane with the 12 month pop up. Also it does not make sense. Long periods of peace make people more likely to rush into war. As an example, the cheering at the beginning of WW1 when Europe had been at peace for decades.

Well I removed the event myself but as a bit of advice pop-ups should not be so frequent, they just become annoying and the event needs a bit of change.

Keep up the good work

Are there any different-religion empires close to yours? If so, close your borders to them - I'm pretty sure doing so will help slow down the spread of their religion. Also, yeah, religious turmoil can last a while if you're unprepared. Try to make sure some of the pops of planets you're going to conquer are same religion as your own - it allows you to fully convert the planet faster. If worst comes to worst and your state religion becomes a complete minority, I think you'll get an event allowing you to convert to the new majority religion if you so choose.

Thanks, Danwar. I've had both Government Support on and have been running Enlightenment campaigns for 10+ years, but I'm still having constant riots hit. Does it just take a very long time to take effect?

Before. I remember you saying something along those lines, yes.

Was your last time before or after 2.0? I completely redo religion spread on planets in 2.0 trying make it less chaotic.
CaptainKampfkeks Mar 19 @ 6:44am
@Danwar I don't know if the Modauthor worked on it already, but the last time I played I had all these going and still got riots left and right, even on planets with only synths, which don't even have/had religions.
