Description
Alternate History mod, presenting something in common to the united Intermarium, but established much earlier.

This is Polish-Lithuanian-Ruthenian-Bohemian-Hungarian Commonwealth, based on the further evolution of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth into larger union of central and eastern European countries.



This version is Commonwealth of 5 nations, united into a single country. In this timeline Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth never fell, but grew, forming unions with friendly neighboring countries and accumulating more and more power, eventually becoming a Hegemon of Central and Eastern Europe. It's vast borders lie from Baltic to Black sea, from Oder river to Danube and Dnepr, and I think it's justified. I believe it's quite possible that if this country would ever be formed, it would be within it's ability to capture and hold all these lands, many of which were never part of corresponding countries historically, were lost to other country at some point in the past, or were claimed as rightful possessions. Though we may never know how it would actually play out.



At this point, the lands of the Commonwealth unite 5 brotherly Nations:


Crown of Poland, including Hiterpommern and Prussia.

Crown of Bohemia, including Silesia (contested with Poland).

Crown of Hungary, including Slovakia (contested with Bohemia) and Romania

Great Duchy\Princedom of Lithuania, including Livonia (Baltic states), White Ruthenia (Belarus), Smolensk and Pskov.

Great Duchy\Princedom of Ruthenia, including all of Ukraine, and recently conquered Orel, Kursk and Belgorod.



This Version of Commonwealth is of course ridiculously overpowered, but at the same time the most Vanilla-breaking version, since it includes many countries, key for Vanilla events. Other versions after this one will go down in power, and allow different opportunities for the player.

It's so badass, that it still claims all Soviet border territories after last war, while Soviets claim most of border Commonwealth states as well. Germany also claims Hinterpommern, Danzig, Prussia and Lower Silesia.


And bear in mind. This is just a game.

More Versions of the Recommonwealth, tweaks of existing ones.

Possible tag change for Commonwealth, with Proper Poland, Lithuania, Bohemia, Ruthenia and Hungary Nations, instead of existing Lithuania, Hungary, Belarus, Czechoslovakia and Ukraine. Proper flags, cores, and all.

Schütze Jäger - I submitted the idea of these Commonwealths to the Formable Nations mod - I hope they include it in their magnificent creation and my mod will have alternate life in case I'm not able to update the mod properly, or at least if I don't have time for it 9which I currently don't).

Besides - my mod rather covers the Country appearing earlier, and surviving up till this point, then emerging out of Versailles , though that would be one of the possibilities.

Austria-Hungary stopped existing, Germany was in shambles. New countries formed and dissolved so fast one struggled to keep track of it. The Polish-Lithuanian (and + ruthenian possibly) Commonwealth wasn't restored, even though at first it seemed sure to emerge, but new unions formed, that never before existed or heard of - like Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia. Germany was in ruins. None thought it could become a great power again. The bolsheviks mostly seemed to be contained in their regional hell - their prolonged existence as a country was doubtful at best. Intermarium couldn't be, because victors of the great war could never see themselves as losers in the future. The sheer idea seemed bizarre and ridiculous. They won the war of wars, whatever threat could arise - they would deal when it comes, they thought. And it came back to bite them in their asses, but that's a whole different story.

Schütze Jäger - Unfortunately, it never really came that close. At the time of the Versailles conference, the situation in Europe was changing rapidly, and both Entente and former CP's were steadily growing more and more apathetic. Winners found out that the victory isn't even remotely as sweet as they expected. For most, the results of many years of constant fighting that killed and maimed millions, just seemed... Not worth it at all. Neither of Entente countries was interested in what was happening to the east that much, many thought bolshevik threat was doomed from the start, because it was based on idiotic marxist utopia, that would crumble under it's own weight. And after bolsheviks were defeated by Poland, a nation that barely emerged out of ashes, missing from the map of Europe for about a hundred years, nobody considered red hordes that much of a threat anymore. And boi, oh boiiiiii did they paid the price later.

Cagarustus - Yeah that was part of the idea, though now that you said it, I thought maybe I should make it as a separate option. The problem though isn't just the state borders, but state population, etc that would have to be changed too.

@Revan. Actually if you could create a mod whereby the States are more natural, that would be greatly appreciated. As you know, the Vanilla PL Commonwealth borders are a bit skewed.

Dont Lewd the Dragon Loli - I am, but Right now I was kind of thinking of introducing newversions, with possibilities of having both starting as different versions of commonwealth, and being able to form them. I was working on making different states borders, to make commonwealth outlines look more natural than now, and of course the focus trees.

But at the same time I was thinking of introducing a global overhaul mod of my own, so... It may require a lot of times since I'm working alone on this.
