Description
A total conversion built around an engineered caste hierarchy: fourteen Colors, each a xenotype with its own capabilities and its own costs, bound together by a social order that gives the hierarchy real mechanical weight.

WHAT IT ADDS
- Fourteen Colors as inheritable xenotypes, plus Bronzies and six sub-strains (21 in all), ranked by a ladder the game enforces: caste labour, deference, caste marks imposed by Color.
- Carving: a Violet Carver can regrow a lost limb, cut away scarring, rebuild fertility so people can cross Colors, or remake someone into another Color entirely.
- Razors with a whip form, pulse armour with a sealed helm that closes when drafted, recoil armour, scarabSkin, the demonHelm, gravBoots, the aegis and an automated trauma suite.
- Seven factions, three ideoligion memes, the Society's two title ladders and the Rim Dominion's own, four scenarios, two biomes, a storyteller, and the Lurcher hunt.
- Griffins, pitvipers and the haemanthus; the clawDrill; helium-3 as a deep resource.
- Drugs from the source: zoladone, mjolnir-6, nazopran, god's bread, fever cloud and swill.

REQUIREMENTS
Royalty, Ideology and Biotech. Required mods (RimWorld lists any that are missing): Harmony, Vanilla Expanded Framework, [NL] Facial Animation, [BT] EyeGenes2, Expanded Biotech Style Genes AiO, EBSG Framework, Alpha Genes, Expanded Archite Genes, Biotech Capacitor Genes, Lifespan Expectancy Genes.

OPTIONAL - each part loads only if you already run that mod:
- Combat Extended: CE stats for every weapon, armour piece and vehicle turret.
- Vehicle Framework: the Drachenjaeger walker and the ripWing aerial fighter.
- Exosuit Framework: the starShell.
- Alpha Animals: Carvelings, grown in Carver vats.
- Melee Animation: idle, attack and execution animations for the razors.
- [NL] Realistic Body: armour sprites with greaves for its body shapes.
- Giddy-Up 2: rideable griffins; Obsidian raiders ride them.
- Dragons Descent: its dragons retold as Carver-made.
- Odyssey: gravships burn helium-3.

VERSIONS
Built and tested on RimWorld 1.6. Also loads and passes its tests on 1.7 (1.7.4985), but several of the required mods have not yet released 1.7 versions of their own.

AI DISCLOSURE
This mod was made with heavy use of generative AI. Specifically:
- All code and all text - the C# assembly, every XML def and patch, and every in-game label, description, backstory and name list - was written by Claude (Anthropic) through Claude Code, under my direction. Models: Claude Opus 5, Opus 5.5, Fable 5 and Fable 5.1. I directed the design, made the lore and balance calls, chose which generated art to keep, and play-tested it myself over several weeks.
- 229 of the 363 images were generated with OpenAI gpt-image-2 on fal (fal.ai) and then cut out, fitted to the body, tint-masked and outlined by script: all worn armour (pulse, recoil, scarabSkin, ghost cloak, duroArmor, Howler pelt), the demonHelm and pulse helm, the weapons (razors, slingBlade, pulseFist, scorcher, pulse cannon), the Drachenjaeger and ripWing, the griffin and the clawDrill. The starShell (12 of them) also used Google nano-banana-2.
- 3 images were generated locally with Z-Image-Turbo and a ControlNet: the preview image and the storyteller portrait.
- The other 131 images - item icons, xenotype and UI icons, tattoos, the pitviper and haemanthus, the mod icon, biome textures and effects - were drawn by scripts, with no image model involved.
- The razor's whip-lash sound was generated with ElevenLabs Sound Effects v2 on fal.
The full asset-by-asset list ships with the mod in About/AI_DISCLOSURE.txt, and the source code, tools and the generation logs with every prompt and model, is public at https://github.com/CInergy92/RimRising .

CREDITS
A love letter to Pierce Brown's Red Rising saga, from a massive fan. Thank you, Pierce Brown, for the Society, the Institute, the Rising and every Color in between for books that took a Red from the mines of Mars to the stars and never let go. This mod exists because those books would not leave me alone. If you have not read them, start with Red Rising.

An unofficial fan work inspired by Pierce Brown's Red Rising novels. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the author or his publishers, and no text or artwork from the books is reproduced; every description and every image is original.

Thanks to the authors of every mod listed above, and to Epicguru for Melee Animation, whose override folders made razor support possible.

Absolutely brutal, but amazing series

I read those novels earlier in the year. They were a fun read. Ruthless.
