Can we get a version of this that just removes tile protection on space stations altogther?
I am using the password protected force field console mod.
I would like space stations shielding to rely on that rather then it being built into the station.

@Lord_Greyscale Yes, /entityevl object.smash() does work on ANY tile or object regardless of protections. Just be careful because this can even break space station expansion slots.

@oliverrook I'll bet the added-in solar panels are under a different id, you'll need to make use of /debug to find what the dungeon id of those panels are.

EX: the number right after settileprotection, is the dungeon id you're affecting. most of the game is 0, but some of the story missions have parts with different id because the devs wanted to be triksy hobbitses (read, they got angry at players using settileprotection to break their dev-imposed idiocy, so they tried new idiocy).
Whatever the debug readout says the id is, you'd use that instead of 0.

Alternatively, what was that damn command,
/entityeval object.smash()
might work, it ignores "unbreakable" as set in the item itself. (ex: ship's fuel-hatches, lockers, SAIL in a vanilla un-modded game)

I've tried everything but it won't let me destroy anything. Not only that but in the space station console the "Enable Tile Protection" button is never checked off, even after I click on it. it shows it as being checked at first but after closing it and opening it again its off.

Slight issue. Upon removal, I am either forced to leave tile protection off, or leave it on but not be able to edit any tiles inside my station. Stuff I've placed inside myself, like the houses I've built and furniture I've placed, is protected. Can you fix this? It's a bit frustrating, I only installed this temporarily to fix a bit of the wall that was protected.

I have a problem as well. FU adds in Solar Panels to some hallways but I can't destroy them, even with this mod and the /settileprotection false command. Help?

I have a request- can you just remove the whole zero-gravity from the Station? I fail to see the point of having the player spawn outside with Zero gravity. Just edit it so the player spawns inside the station, and remove the zero-gravity, and that might make it way easier to build

An issue- I dont know how but the Station expansion doors are sorta breaking. I think this mod makes them a bit too unprotected

well i don't know if this is ironic or stupid but the problem fix it self when i went to make a new log file by screwing with it in game. :steamfacepalm:

@Skullking Von Mooncrest: If you have other mods it is most likely a conflict. I've used it myself on 1.4 and it's working fine for me (toggling the checkbox and tile protection on/off). I can try to find out what the problem is if you send me a copy of your starbound.log file

Mods will be updated for 1.4 compatibility in about a week or two when I am finished up with exams. In the meantime they may experience issues. I may add new features related to 1.4 while I'm there but no promises. Let me know of anything broken due to 1.4 so I can fix it faster when I do get round to it. Can't wait to take down some beerheaded gangs...

i've tried to paint the station and some chunks are not paintable or breaking. I also was able to place blocks and object around outside the station like lights or crane blocks that aren't letting me place or remove these abjects.

Is there a mod or a way this works with the cockpit of our ship? So we can move our storage locker, SAIL, captain's chair etc. Would like to re-decorate and this seems like the closest mod to what I need but ... still not what I need. :steamhappy:

@Izzazal: You can use '/settileprotection 0 false' to turn off tile protection in the outpost but keep in mind the outpost resets after leaving it

@themrpiggy22 That must have been from a different custom station mod that was incompatible with that mod and somehow messed up this mod when the two were installed but uninstalling one fixed the problem

Yeah when you first install the mod you'll need to toggle the checkbox as the action of checking it is what triggers the protection on and off. Checking the state of the box continuously would just be more resource intensive than it needs to be.

This mod doesn't seem to work anymore for me. The enable tile protection box is always unchecked, re-unchecks itself when you leave the panel, and the tile protection is still on.
