I will say, I do hope eventually down the line we’ll get a update for captives to grow. It could have some cool lore/storyline implications.

If I may ask, why don't they? I feel it would make sense it would need a very advanced research, and even possible dissection of a ether wyrm and or ether drake.

@Kocky_Doge(Science Team), not much I can do about that, that is basic game mechanic when disabled starbase become enabled again even if hostile fleet is still in system. That happens usually in situations when hostile space critter disabled spacestation and keep roaming in that system

Ah, useful. Requires the Colossus AP, but still an option at least, as would be other mods which lead to creating them providing they code the ruined planet appropriately like the Stellarite tier bombardment from ACOT.

Could be an idea to make a molten terraforming option, or just molten worlds, give better chances or rewards than shattered due to the conditions of the host planet.

As a suggestion what about "terraforming" uninhabitable world into molten worlds to create potential nests for dragons? Sort of like a soft planet cracker approach through a Decision or something in owned systems if an empire has pursued the Dragon's Friend route and runs the Edict.

@Unamused, right, it is small in size but with Wyrm weaponry. It gets also random bonuses to armor, hull, resistance, etc. So there is variety in hatching outcome.

It's possible empires with bio-ships can't research the tier 3 Dragon Breath beam weapon tech from debris due to the Battleships requirement that they can't ever learn.

@Devidose, it can be get only after egg hatching, so I am afraid not the case for fanatic xenophobe of any kind. Alternative way is to kill big dragon and research remnants but plasma is the only weapon that can't be get by this. I am going to add it as option too

@Ghoti, that is quite random and quite dependent on several conditions, so I can't point to any easy way, Try to set planet flag egg_incubated to nearby molten planet, if other conditions will be met, you might detect egg there

Is there a way to spawn more dragons into the galaxy? I'm wanting to try and get some dragons of my own, but none are anywhere close to my empire or sensor ranges for me to possibly get some eggs and such.

@Nikal, there are such restrictions for special system, either making them very unlucky to visit or friendly to dragons, but they are not updated with all that new 4.0 specials. I will check that and update

It might be a good idea to include a game_rules file which would restrict the dragon country's movement through the Great Wound, marauders (original) territory, hatchery invaders and other spaceborne aliens special systems. Maybe even the FE, but they seem to deal with it well enough either way. 😅

Because I had an AI empire with the “Starlit Citadel” origin, but I'm pretty sure they weren't the ones to destroy the abandoned hatchery invaders. 🤨

@Yiraght, no special command here, amount of eggs is variable, so technically you may use "change_variable = { which = htbd_num_eggs value = 1 }" to get eggs. But there are several other events and requirement to satisfy to incubate it

also note, with some civics one or another edict can be not possible, e.g. fanatic xenophobe or purifiers can't be a friend, etc. But in that case only one is missing
