Well I ended up taking "That's Racist" as a racial package mod. Even so this was a tough mod to let go of. You did really well making it.

@Silas_Cole, Sure that sounds cool, after all that's what the WorkShop is for!

@Balthias, Perhaps the reason this ability is "negated" by other effects is because it is a 'Once per Day Racial Power' and may take precident over other attributes based on Skyrim's combat schema - but that is speculation.

I could try to integrate this power with other mods - maybe some recomendations of Khajiit mods that you guys use? That way I could get a better idea of how those files modify the game, and further, how I might be able to tweak this file to become compatible. Let me know, and I can get started on that.

@cloak_n_daggerz, In the interest of keeping this mod lore friendly, I feel that being allowed one use per day is a reasonable cooldown for the ability. I am intruigued by the idea of increasing jumping height, and in tandem, reducing damage from lethal falls.

@RakWarrior, I would very much like to implement this mod into my own mod if that would be okay with you. I would give you full credit and a link to your mod. I find your mod lore friendly enough to be put in mine. My mod is called True Racial Abilities.

And yea i tried it but it negates this mod which is unfortunate because I really do like this ability it made the khajiit experience more unique

This mod is kind of difficult to use. Any other mods i use that tweak khajiit even a little completely negate this power. Any way to fix this?

@ eric20462009; have you checked out my mod. It does give all races new abilities but I tried to keep them as balanced and lore friendly as possible. The mod is called True Racial Abilities. Or you could look under my mods section to find it. However, I do like this guys mod as well. It might just be compatible with my mod. I would have to try it.

any chance you can buff the redguard? Can't find any that buff him alone and the ones I do find buff the other races to a point that they are nearly OP. btw subscribed . loved this mod rated up worked like a charm.

I would use this mod but the 1x per day limit seems to restrictive for a predatory race like the Kahjiit. Maybe a cooldown timer of 1-2 minutes between uses? Would like to see increased jump heights as part of this as well. Makes playing a cat-like race more... cat-like!

I feel an extra ability is needed for Khajit but this is too powerful. I like the idea of the movement speed, and the potential time slow, but the flat damage reduction should be gone.

Cats aren't hardy, they're agile. Instead maybe have a 5-10% chance to avoid physical damage OR 10-20% chance to take half physical damage on blows.

Also, the buff to flat damage I feel should be reflected in increased swing/bash/draw speeds instead of just extra damage.

Decreasing fall damage is a nice minor addon as well.

And the detect life is a little too large of a radius I feel, indoors & outdoors should be the same for simplicity. The addition of it is TERRIFIC though.

Maybe you could add UNARMED damage modifiers with the swing speed as well.

What about decreacing fall damage. Because cats always land pefectaly and have good balance.

Hello everyone who has stopped by to take a look, and to those who have subscribed to this mod. Thank you for doing so! I never imagined the mod would be this successful, and it looks like an update is in order.

1. I've realized the language on this mod is a bit off; predatorial is not a word, so I will soon be updating the spell name and images on Steam to "Predatory Instincts"

2. I like the idea of nerfing the speed buff a bit to make damage and mitigation modifiers a bit more noticable.

3. I will experiment with a slow time effect, but if anything it would be minor; this ability already offers a wide range of uses, and I'd like it to stay out of the 'overpowered' realm if possible.

Let me know what you think Steam community!

yes, as far as I know, there should be full compatibility. This mod merely adds a power to the khajiit race.

I play Khajiit as my main and I always felt they didnt get the stelth boosts they deserved. They should have also given them a fall damage reduction as well THEIR CATS FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!

hahahaha I never thought about chasing deer, but the only way my melee chars ever catch is by jumping on em or stabbing them from sneak. Maybe I'll finally be able to HUNT.

I like the idea of a speed boost over a health boost, I hunt a lot and sometimes my problem is catching up to prey, especially when those deer don't all run in the same direction. It'd also be great for breaking off from a tough fight or luring an enemy into a trap, both I believe are the intended tactics of the race.

Keep it up, seems awesome. Also, I suggested a small buff for stamina bc the redguard one is 10x..... so it's not that crazy. stamina regen potions usually give more; and those are kinda common. I've seen speed buffs added as passive effects, would it be possible to turn those off? There are some spell mods that boost running speed for a bit (combat dodge I think does that).

UPDTAE: It appears that a Speed Buff falls into a differing category of buffs than Berserk and Detect Life in the Creation Kit.

As far as I know, a Speed Buff can only be achieved through a Constant Effect type of spell (which are used for abilities and armor buffs), and the Berserk and Detect Life effects are Fire and Forget type effects (initiated, then run on a timer).

So unfortunately, I am unable to find an easy solution to adding speed to this buff, but I will continue to look for one. If anyone has any information that might help, please don't hesitate to post it or a link to it.

@Jeffman12 - I like the idea! Although, I think that sort of effect may be outside my realm of capability. But the idea is funny, and I'll definitely keep it in mind for a possible future mod, and it gives me ideas for other Argonian reptilian-like powers.

@Azeal - Absolutely a good point. Increased speed would go great for the Khajiit race in place of taking less damage. I really like that idea.

How do others feel?

I am a bit apprehensive about also adding STA regen, I don't want to over power this power. However, it may be in order.

How about changing the damage reduction to a speed increase and double stamina regen? That makes more sense to me for a stalking hunter cat :D

How about Argonians get "Skinmolt" it causes a corpse that looks like the player to fall on the ground and everyone flees in terror because it's gross.

Th is looks good, but the only thing i could suggest is that how about reduce damage by 15% percent instead of 25%. It makes them alittle more distinct from Orcs, but thats just me, great mod btw.
