Well, I've got my graphics set to bare minimum and adaptive VSync is on
Metaladon  [author] Jul 24, 2018 @ 12:27pm
Is your physics speed turned all the way down?
That probably helps.
ThatRandomTayto Jul 24, 2018 @ 12:26pm
I don't know how but I'm only playing with a single core processor and it runs with no lag (below minimum requirements o-o) and even with this extended zoom it works like a charm
DarkSalt Sep 23, 2017 @ 6:26pm
ok thx
Metaladon  [author] Sep 23, 2017 @ 6:26pm
Like any other mod, yes!
DarkSalt Sep 23, 2017 @ 6:23pm

Well this is new!
Quite excited to give it a go.

@ Lord Tachanka:
It will if you're already running Reassembly on a weak set of PC hardware. The game is more CPU-limited than GPU-limited. I don't want to put words in Sir Metaladon's mouth, *but* if my PC had a CPU more than two years old *and/or* at a clock-speed less than 4.0 GHz, I'd be somewhat reluctant to assume that lag wouldn't happen. Try it for yourself and see.
Communist Mr. Rogers Jun 20, 2017 @ 12:13am
Will this lag the game more?
Boxcar_Productions Jun 17, 2017 @ 9:34pm
ok...
Metaladon  [author] Jun 17, 2017 @ 4:40pm
Thanks!

I also dream of making the Reassembly world even more interesting to watch by there being more to see of it, but as we both realise it's an impossibility due to squares scaling faster than lines.

At least Reassembly isn't 3d!
Prof. von Calamity Jun 17, 2017 @ 3:50pm
No worries, Canadian Railfan; we're all fellow Reassembly fans here. :steamhappy:

For my part, I really dig the idea of a much wider-angle campaign view in the game. But I'm also enough of a realist that something like a 12X-15X view is not a gameplay feature that even my generally nicely-above-average two-year-old PC design can deal with. Sure an i7 4790K quad-core overclocked to max & 32 GB RAM are nice, but Reassembly modded to such *gigantic* physics requirements will break virtually all pre-2017 consumer PCs. Not even an overclocked hexacore CPU or an 8GB-and-up video card can fully deal with the burden.

Nonetheless, this is cool mod that's also highly useful.
Sir Metaladon [BA] Trade.TF - *thank you!*

whoa there buddy it was a joke ;)
Metaladon  [author] Jun 16, 2017 @ 8:57pm
Not to 2500^3 Reassembly tiles you aren't!
Boxcar_Productions Jun 16, 2017 @ 8:44pm
i am a supercomputer >:)
Metaladon  [author] Jun 16, 2017 @ 7:20pm
Whole map? not happening, even a supercomputer couldn't handle it.

Invisible ships are possible, but I'm not sure how you could make the AI ignore them.
Your Pal Deebs Jun 16, 2017 @ 6:50pm
Now here's a challenge for ya: Can you make a version that simulates an absurdly large area- the whole map, even!

This, combined with a possible mini mod that gives a way to fly an undetectable space ball that is completely invisible, would allow one to practically spectate the natural life and course of the map- and seeing if those pesky reds will ever really conquer the galaxy on their own... Only for computers that can handle it though, of course!

Bravo on this mod nonetheless!
Your Pal Deebs Jun 16, 2017 @ 6:46pm
Remarkable!
