any chance this might get updated for 1.0, looks useful for mobile operations or to power a deep drill more easily

Based on my (limited) testing it is working fine in B18 - it does give an intimidating red error message spam though if you have debug on and auto-open on. The update in question would take up time I'm currently not willing to spend on it; the problem is related to Tynan's code cleanup - 1.0 I might be more inclined to do a finalization however, if not add more to it.

Any chance for 0.18?

I have a portable generator mod sure. it uses chemfuel too, but in my case its to make small bases to harvest iron. I have the "set-up" camp mod so it lets me stop on a tile and generate a map on will.

I've seen a few chemfuel generators, but I haven't seen one with a built in battery - it really isn't necessarily complicated to make one, but when I think of chemfuel, I think of high octane rocket fuel, and I'm not sure I'd want to lug explosive chemfuel around - but maybe that could be a potential trade-off.

ah, a portable battery AND solar panel. sounds like my kind of thing!

how hard would it be for you to make a chemfueled tiny generator with a built in battery as well?

As long as the solar panel is on the same line it will charge off other sources, it behaves as both a battery and as a solar panel, just with significantly lower capacities of both. In theory, you could bring multiple units to chain together for higher power - but it will still be more expensive than a typical solar panel and battery setup. (It would however, be less weight.)

another question: is the internal power pack capable of receiving charge. I have a generator and the solar panel on same power line. will the solar panel charge up faster?

Personally - I'd charge it before you go, but it will charge just fine on the road - though in certain extreme biomes, it will be difficult to run it at full power all night. Basically, if your heater or AC is needed at 175W from 4 am onwards, it will not charge enough in an entire day to run the whole night.

this is a pretty neat idea to have power on the go. should I charge up the solar panel then store it so I can use it on my trip or will it gain enough energy to store overnight even while I use it?

I hadn't really had time to process this much - I coded it over the last two nights, while learning the bits of C# I needed to know to do it. (Already knew how to program, at least well enough for a hobbist, just a matter of syntax and library learning for me.) I might do something like that, though.

This is actually a really good general-application idea. Are you thinking of expanding this to maybe larger generators/batteries that are maybe gated behind research and made of different things? I.E., not just for camps, but for more advanced settlements. Either way, good work!
