Third game, away at Camp Nou, Barcelona!
I honestly thought this would be the game I would get pummeled, barely winning against United, full Barcelona squad (Messi, Neymar, Suarez, Busqets... the lot). 23 minutes played and disaster! Red Card to one of my young strikers (2nd yellow). Then in the 27th minute, GOAL foz r ME! I scored at Camp Nou with one less man. Then again in the 70th minute, 0-2, I can't believe this! Ended up winning 0-2 and it was deserved looking at statistics.
3 games in the CL group stage and won all 3, played the 2 best teams away. Now I'm imagining where this can end, could I really win the CL with this tactic- with such a small club?
CRAZY!
First CL game, away, against Man United. Great... right into the fire. Ended up scoring the first goal (after 11 minutes) before Rashford equalized 3 minutes later. Then followed 75 minutes of tight and fierce football, United had 3 shots in the bars, I had 2 situations alone with De Gea. In the 90th minute (90:43) my team managed to score, 1-2, HEAVEN! Maybe not deserved but not completely BS!
After that season i got the job at the biggest Norwegian club, Rosenborg, and won the cup and league in the same dominant fashion. Now in my second season in Rosenborg and got through the playoffs for Champions league and ended up winning the league cup again.
First season in EPL we finished 5th and qualified for UEFA cup. A few motnhs into the current season and we're 4th in the EPL and won 3 from 3 in the UEFA cup league stage. Still in all domestic cups too.
Easily the best tactic I've used.
Since leaving Hibs, Celtic have gone on to win the both of the titles, and again are dominant. Just goes to show how good this tactic is. Juventus were also thread bare and ageing. I'm at the point now where the AI is starting to work it out so I'm trying a couple of adjustments in order to disguise it a little.
Best performing tactic I have used to date.
I moved to Hibernian in 2022/2023 from a couple of Finnish clubs and started using Gamebreaker. With a very weak squad I managed to get 3rd. My second season there I started with Strikerless and won the title, thus ending Celtics 12 year dominance. I did the same the year after and added the domestic cup as well. This was a huge achievement as my wage cap was 6k per week compared to Celtic that could off at least 70k to a single player. Thjose two titles got me a move to Juventus where I've spent two seasons and won everything I could possibly have won. The second season I won a total of six trophies.

Retraining Defensive Midfielders or Box-to-Box into Inverted Wing Backs works wonder, they tend to do a good job in this system where WBs are almost midfielders and naturals might lack vision/passing a bit.
For holding a result or huge underdog, I remove one AMC to add a Defensive Midfielder, it's insanely solid and you can still score on counters. Just won the Champion's League using this tweak a lot (...yyyeeeEEESSSSSSS!)
Also if some SS tends to dribble too much and waste too many balls, I find useful to switch him to Attacking Midfielder role, as Shadow Strikers have the "dribble more" instruction hard-coded in the role. They'll score just as much.
I'd highly recommend Kai Havertz from Leverkusen for SS, he is 17 at the beginning of the game, and in his second year, he scored 31 times in 45 matches (15 assists), avg rating 7.8. Also, if you can get him, Berardi works very well as SS, although he is by default only a natural winger / striker, he had an avg rating of 8.07, which was the first time I ever had a player have an avg rating over 8.
Highly recommended, I switched over from "Maldini doesnt tackle", and don't regret it for a second.

What is there to worry about?
Definitely exploits the match engine though.
The IWB (L&R) began life as WM in a flat 4 in the midfield and it was small tweaks to the system that made this tactic as successful as it has been - another example would be the central SS, at the start of this tactic development the player role was Enganche, but as the streams went on The_Reckonist switched up to a SS to get the desired effect.
If anyone has negative comments around the orginality of The_Reckonist's tactics, I suggest you pop yourself into his live streams on Wednesday, Friday & Sunday's from 19:00 GMT.
