Will this ever be updated? I truly loved this mod, and check on it every time I come back to rimworld after a break to see if it's gotten updated or not.

To those that have the problem: "We rehearse, but, never put on a performance.": you have an ancient danger somewhere on your map and it seems to prevent the performances from triggering. I went a LONG time without a perfromance, turned on developer mode (from the options), looked for the visibility setting to locate the ancient danger, cleared it out, and performances started as expected. This also affects the "name your colony" event. Overall, this mod is awesome since I got it sorted.

Not sure if it's on yer end, or their end, but medieval times mod, and this seem to conflict, as in it resets all enabled mods.

Great mod for my Fallout Vault inspired settlement, in between raids there isint much they can do for joy without leaving the saftey of the underground so this will finnaly give them something to do together~

Great mod, but I wish there was a setting for subscriptions to pay in silver only, kinda annoying to get a tonne of useless shit via subscription payments

I dont know how to hold performances, I cannot practice on the microphone, there are no bills on the stage/mic. How do you do this?

My sub-mod (Razzle Dazzle+) now includes a patch to fix the bug with loading Miniaturisation (as well as changing the broadcast tower). If you prefer the original tower, you can manually edit the XML shown in the post below.

Ok, I solved the issue with miniaturisation, and probably others.. Right now, my mods are: "Core, HugsLib, RazzleDazzle, Miniaturisation, Psychology". No crash on startup, new game seems fine.

Once the dev comes on, the cause is in RAZ_Buildings.xml :

<ThingDef Name="PerformanceBuildingBase" ParentName="BenchBase" Class="RazzleDazzle.PerformanceVenueDef">

needs to become:

<ThingDef Name="PerformanceBuildingBase" ParentName="BenchBase" Class="RazzleDazzle.PerformanceVenueDef" Abstract="True">

Without the abstract, it was being treated as an actual item, and crashing miniaturisation.

As others have stated, it is currently uncompatible with some mods (psychology, miniaturization, others?), and to make it work at all requires a new save (since your colonists will not have the new "Performance" skill). Removing it from a save will likely cause issues too (missing skill defs, jobs, etc).

Having more performers (and more pianos, etc) can improve your broadcast quality (since they perform more often), leading to bigger subscription payments (and good will)... provided it's liked of course :)

This stopped working for some reason. It worked fine previously, performances were held. I haven't changed any mods and it just stopped working. They will practice but never do the performance.

Why not make a less eyesoring, resource heavy Radio Tower? something like a antenna would have been better, technology would been advanced pass that, the comms machine is an example, also.. spaceships.

Hey. I really like your mods and would like to add this to a running game. However when I do I get a number of errors that pop up when the WorkTab is open (using Fluffy's worktab). These errors report that the def for performance is not set and it's defaulting to shooting. Sure enough the profeciency reflects the shooting skill for the performance column. Do you have any intent to fix this? I would be willing to look into it and help wth the fix. Cheers.

so based from the last comments: this mod is incompatible with MINIATURISATION & PSYCHOLOGY mod ...

those are 2 of the most QOL mods out there for everyone... so if you want this mod, you have to choose this or the other :angry_creep:


any estimated timeframe on fixes?? this mod looks really fun to add to your colony

Just here to put another tick next to the Razzle Dazzle, Miniaturisation incompatibility issue. Just went trough single loading about 30 mods along side it to figure it out.

I was quite excited to use this mod -- it looks like a lot of fun and I really enjoy the idea of entertaining others through performance. However, when I load this up, all of my colonists' work/job assignments disappear except for one. (The menu that we use to assign certain tasks & their level of urgency.)

I've tried loading it at different times. I believe that it is interfering/being interfered with by another mod, though I don't know which one it is. I'd suspect that it's Psychology, but mods interact in very weird ways & the like, and I don't really have the free time to devote to crawling through all of the mods & seeing which one causes this bug. :steamsad:

Two things: Are you planning on continuig to work on this? And is it of any use to have 2 performers? I want to maximize the broadcast payments. I'm not sure if performances are held a set amount of times or if a performer performs a set amount of times.

I can confirm that miniaturisation causes hard crashes during initialization. Thank you Kandashi, was wondering what was causing the conflict and I was really looking forward to this mod. Hope there is a fi in the near future.

so aside from the cute robots, any other known mod conflicts??

i'd assume this is good for existing saves as well

so safe to uninstall if i no longer want this mod, or this becomes save dependent(ASSUMING you have removed all items from this mod)

Please, could you be more specific? Are you just saying that this mod's benches can't be miniaturized? Or do you mean that having Miniaturization installed pretty much prevents this mod from doing anything? Does it generate an error message?

I've tried using this mod with all other mods disabled and I'm still unable to hold concerts/recitals/comedy shows. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I can right click a performance item to "replace the lead/supporting act" but that's it. At most, my colonishts muck about the stage/piano. No one ever touches the microphone.

Yeah, same issue as Jade and Fora with the FPS. Tried the save cleaner but no dice. Also I have issues when there's a lot of colonist/prisoner pawns (when raids happen there's no real slow down) in a small area. Cut out the mod from my modlist for now. I also tend to have issues with the performance skill sort of running out of bounds on the skill GUI

I'd love to try this. But the bug reports give me pause, especially since this requires a new game. Has anyone besides Fora experienced a significant drop in FPS?

Also, I do hope that 'work to make' gets changed to 'work to build' in building definitions, like Meep42 already pointed out.

One other interesting note - when I right click the microphone they still have an option to rehearse and the pawns do choose to run over their to rehearse on their own. They instantly leave the item after starting to rehearse.

I'm also having the bug where my colonists will never hold performances. I crafted a play and a score and two performers practiced their way to completion at the microphone, piano, and stage. It's been a season or two since then and no performances. They still have perform in their work orders and it's pretty high (2). I'll start a discussion thread and post my modlist, though it's lengthy :)

I've got a problem where if I have Razzle Dazzle installed my fps drops down to 5 - 10 from 60, regarless of map size, if I try to issue an order to my colonists.

Any ideas as to what I can do?
