will this work on weapons from mods? specifically the modular weapons mod.
Dave Jan 5 @ 2:11pm
just saw that melee weapons are excluded, i thin kit would be useful but nice mod!
John DeWolf Sep 6, 2023 @ 6:41pm
Was about to ask why the context menu for repairing guns wasn't showing up. Then I checked the xml and saw that it repairs up to %95. That is all.
Old Kurt Nov 30, 2022 @ 3:46pm
@Haplo_X1
What about using for melee weapons repairs the same material as they created from?
HAZRAD Nov 9, 2022 @ 4:15pm
Thank you for this mod! Worked great!
Haplo_X1  [author] Nov 3, 2022 @ 1:24pm
Melee weapons are currently excluded, because: What do you want to exchange between two swords? Therefor I've excluded melee weapons from this.
Dizzy Ioeuy Nov 3, 2022 @ 1:19pm
OK figured it out... weapon has to be in a stockpile zone... omfg.
Dizzy Ioeuy Nov 3, 2022 @ 1:18pm
This just doesn't work... two weapons, "cannot find second weapon." Ok, dev mode, make a few hundred. STILL can't find a second weapon. WTF? Trying with vanilla bows.
gmdmb3 Oct 2, 2022 @ 11:23pm
"Rejoice, now you can use spare parts from your low quality weapons of the same kind to repair your legendaries!" from what i am seeing this is false the only way i can repair weapons is if i have 2 of the SAME quality weapons. is this a bug or WAI
gmdmb3 Oct 2, 2022 @ 11:05pm
does this not work with swords? i am trying to repair regular swords and i do not get the option to repair them.
DirtyDietrik May 19, 2022 @ 10:45am
I don't suppose you could make power armors and items like shield belts also repairable?
(MG)vacaguia Jul 28, 2021 @ 6:37am
ok, thanks. now it must be work
Haplo_X1  [author] Jul 28, 2021 @ 5:53am
Thanks for the info. VWE does use a slightly modified Def-Name.
I've updated the patch to catch this now hopefully.
(MG)vacaguia Jul 28, 2021 @ 4:54am
that´s why i answered if i need investigation, because i don´t have laser sword investigation complete
(MG)vacaguia Jul 28, 2021 @ 4:53am
i doesn´t work with vanilla weapon expanded-laser; i tried to repair my laser sword(good 28%) with other normal laser sword (74%) and it doesnt appear repair option when i right click button.
Haplo_X1  [author] Jul 28, 2021 @ 4:41am
You need a machinery table. Other than that you don't have any research requirements, no.
(MG)vacaguia Jul 28, 2021 @ 4:19am
cannot repair a weapon if i don´t know tecnology?for example, cannot repair a rifle if i don´t investigate first?
Dizzy Ioeuy Jul 6, 2021 @ 11:26am
Why cant i select the weapon for dismantling? it is autoselected?
Haplo_X1  [author] May 3, 2021 @ 1:04am
Depends. It searches for weapons that have a gun_ or bow_ in their Def name
117 Ununseptium May 1, 2021 @ 11:08pm
does the repair option only works for vanilla weapons or does it include mod weapons?
Nick Mar 25, 2021 @ 6:14am
Thanks Haplo!
Haplo_X1  [author] Mar 24, 2021 @ 9:27am
That is a limit I implemented. A repaired weapon should never be as good as a new weapon.
-> Therefore I've set the max repair up to 95%.
Nick Mar 24, 2021 @ 7:03am
Hi why does it only repair up to 95% and not 100%? Love the work btw thanks
AmbiguousMonk Sep 2, 2020 @ 5:44pm
Awesome, thank you!
Haplo_X1  [author] Sep 2, 2020 @ 2:06pm
Yes, sure it's possible. You just have to add/modify a patch similiar to the two you can find here: <workshop>\294100\932102953\1.2\Patches
AmbiguousMonk Sep 1, 2020 @ 4:54pm
I realize it's not very immersive, but is it possible for individuals to manually include melee weapons in this via xml edits or similar if they wanted to?
Haplo_X1  [author] Aug 30, 2020 @ 2:18pm
Bows should normally be possible (maybe not mod bows, depends if they are named Bow_ in their defname)
NRFBToyStore Apr 18, 2020 @ 1:54am
Yea, having an option on crafting table for bows/clubs/tribal type stuff would be great.
Haplo_X1  [author] Apr 15, 2020 @ 12:24pm
--> This is already 1.1
Camarada-Shiba Apr 14, 2020 @ 12:05pm
1.1 pleasee1!
Willow Mar 9, 2020 @ 9:26am
I hate wasting weapons and hope this gets patched.
Notogora Mar 7, 2020 @ 7:09am
1.1 upgrade would be awesome.
BlackCat Mar 2, 2020 @ 3:33pm
1.1 please
raegnarok Dec 30, 2019 @ 4:34pm
dont get it to work... any knowing issues? eventually with dual wield or something like that?

i instaled it and aktivate it. at first it shows me the "repair button" with rightclick. get offline, today load game and want to begin with repair but the button is dont showing anymore. no entry in the loggs... dont change mods or something. weapons with same name and same rarity in stock.

i tryed it on different positions in load order (at first, at last, middle, and so far) but nothing...

any ides?
Lapidus Sep 13, 2019 @ 10:38am
i believe a way without a machining table is what hes referring to
Haplo_X1  [author] Aug 18, 2019 @ 1:15am
It should work for bows..
jojobe Aug 17, 2019 @ 4:37pm
Midevil option please or alternative
Krausladen Jul 29, 2019 @ 11:34am
Something like that, it would make sense.
Haplo_X1  [author] Jul 4, 2019 @ 10:21am
Hmm, I think a way with components might be possible.. Not too cheap, like 1 component per 200 silver price or something like that?
Krausladen Jul 3, 2019 @ 9:43pm
I feel like "repair with components" should be an option, but I will sub anyway in hopes of an update.
velcroboy333 May 30, 2019 @ 3:24pm
Ahh, it must be the "two weapons of the same kind." I thought I could break down any weapon into random parts. Thanks.
"The" SeanMacLeod May 30, 2019 @ 1:21pm
Looks like a bit more than a "hint" lol
Haplo_X1  [author] May 30, 2019 @ 12:46pm
Ok, I've added a hint to the description. This should hopefully help :)
velcroboy333 May 30, 2019 @ 10:23am
Ok, I cannot figure out how to get parts from other guns...?? Does it just require the vanilla machining table? I don't see any research involved...?? What am I missing?
pgames-food May 11, 2019 @ 6:25pm
meow mix i often used parts from 1 gun to improve another, in 7 days to die zombie game :)
Natalo77 Feb 8, 2019 @ 2:01pm
Any hard incompatabilites?
Meow Mix Feb 7, 2019 @ 8:46pm
Not necessarily, a weapon generally has quite a few parts. Generally speaking, the individual parts aren't the same quality. So if you cherry pick the good parts from the crappy item, you can use it to fix good ones. That kind of thing is done in salvage all of the time.
ScrambieBambie Nov 23, 2018 @ 5:37am
But arent those "low quality" donors provide with low quality parts...? =P
Willow Oct 18, 2018 @ 1:01pm
:o sweettt! tysm!
