I hate to be "that guy", but half the figures broke recently. Can this be fixed?

Hello Kaptain Kelz!

Very cool, been looking for something like this!

Here's an incredibly basic collision mesh https://pastebin.com/raw/i7pAasHt

It's the same size as the base of the smaller models.

Just paste this in as the collider URL of your custom models and see how close you can now place them. If you want any more assistance let me know.

Hi, great work with the scanning it's nice to see another mod making use of this technology. I just wanted to give you a little advice based on my experience making the Heroscape mod from scans. You should make a very basic collision mesh to share among the models, using the default box collider prevents the larger models being placed adjacent to each other.

For my mod I used a decimated version of the base in Heroscape, this means that the figures can always be placed adjacent to each other, of course that means that they can overlap, but for gameplay purposes placement is more important than accurate figure to figure collision. Speaking of decimation, if you start seeing lag issues in MP with a large number of models in play then you may want to consider decimating them a bit more >20k triangles is a little overkill imho.

Please, update this awesome Miniatures!!! Ogre, Wizzards of Morcar/Zargon, Man at Arms!
deepcut Jun 8, 2017 @ 12:03pm
Oh, and when you Alt zoom them, some are facing away rather than forwards. I assume this has something to do with the axis in the model file.

The elf is a bit messed up, the others seem ok though. I was thinking about trying this myself and had a look at what software is available but it all seems to be commercial.

One of the Orc models in the boxed game has a much larger sword, to indicate 'special' Orc characters in the campaigns. Most model collections for the game seem to miss that one. Nice work so far.

Yes there in the works :steamhappy: in a week or so when I have time
JJ.Sch  [author] May 23, 2017 @ 9:21pm
Great! There is a chance that you will also upload the rest of the miniatures?

@Alex, @PersianImm0rtal

I recorded that youtube video.

You can find an update on my set up here:

I've obtained much better results this way since I recorded the video. Also I don't even need to edit anything using blender anymore since autodesk remake has everything we need.

Most important thing is to obtain very focussed pictures, but a good mobile phone should be enough.

Also the rotatory system with a photo time lapse app helps a lot when you want to scan many miniatures.

@perslanimmortal happy to help :steamhappy:

@PersianImm0rtal
I don't know how he did it in this case, but I've stumbled upon a revealing video today that uses Autodesk Remake to do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Z2bgrM89oE
Naveed #No2IRGC May 22, 2017 @ 10:21am

Naveed #No2IRGC May 22, 2017 @ 10:20am

Thanks a lot...
KaptenKelz  [author] May 20, 2017 @ 8:25am
Yes I'm going to after a little rest and gameing :) there alittle harder to find good pictures to go off of. But I'm happy you like them :) my favorite by far is the gargoyle he came out so nice.
Kagekaze May 20, 2017 @ 5:08am
Nicely done! I'm assuming they're all crafted by hand, so thank you for the hard work. Are you intending to do some of the UK figurines such as the other Ogres and the Mages of Morcar?
