Nvm, there is one!!
Astro1 Apr 16 @ 12:33pm
I wish there was a WOTC version
BigRowdy Feb 13 @ 5:47pm
netframe 4.51 or 4.52
BigRowdy Feb 13 @ 4:05pm
What fixes the issue is the .NET which HAS to be either 4.5.1 or 4.5.2. We are at 7 now fyi. So it's not an easy find

I installed Idle Suppression recently and I cannot play the game without it anymore. This "simple" change makes the firefights so much more dynamic and enjoyable! And like some people said Idle Suppression really makes the game quite similar to that first Announcement Trailer which was super sick. You get a Favourite Star from me, dawg. :honor:
BigRowdy Jan 15 @ 1:46pm
Only thing I can suggest is vary the config. Also there may be a mod conflicting...
Grunt Jan 15 @ 1:43pm
its like that xcom 1 seller trailer

I'm still praying god too, each day, to see someone update this mod <3
Theoak Dec 20, 2023 @ 1:19am
I'll be praying to god each day to hopefully working this mod out some day... so desperate now
Theoak Dec 20, 2023 @ 1:16am

Theoak Dec 20, 2023 @ 1:14am
yes i know bro thanks
BigRowdy Dec 19, 2023 @ 10:12pm
@ Theoak Once again this is NOT for war of the chosen... There is a separate file for that
BigRowdy Dec 19, 2023 @ 10:10pm
@Theoak well I wouldn't know anything about a mac.
Theoak Dec 19, 2023 @ 7:49pm
I believe this is not suitable for mac... since i tried everything even tweaking it
BigRowdy Dec 19, 2023 @ 7:00pm
The ini is in the mod folder. Look in your steam mod folders. I think Xcom2 is 58000 or 68000 but it has been a long time. Once you find that correct folder all mod folders are in the the host folder as substacks.

Also make sure you are trying the right version for xcom2. This is for the base game and not the chosen dlc. Also look in the discussions under the mod description.
Theoak Dec 19, 2023 @ 6:17pm
I cant run it need help
Theoak Dec 19, 2023 @ 5:38pm
where the ini at?
Old Man Jenkins Jul 23, 2023 @ 9:48am
God this makes me wish my processor wasn't a toaster...
BigRowdy Jan 10, 2023 @ 10:36am
@ BottomScorer Yep. Once you play either legacy or WoTC with either of these two mods, you can not really play without them again as the game will feel lifeless.
BottomScorer Jan 10, 2023 @ 9:44am
Impressive!
BigRowdy Nov 11, 2022 @ 12:21pm
One of my favorite mods of all time.
BigRowdy Mar 7, 2022 @ 2:11pm
are you using mod manager?
Vortex ♀ Pixalation Mar 7, 2022 @ 11:59am
because its not the WOTC version...
wased1029 Mar 7, 2022 @ 7:57am
@BigRowdy i can't get the mod to work in wotc, the wotc version doesn't work either, any idea why?
BigRowdy Feb 6, 2021 @ 12:10pm
@ coolman552 er, same, just type wotc after it.
Its by GCnik..I think
coolman552 Feb 6, 2021 @ 12:02pm
@bigrowdy what is the other version of the mod thats wotc compatible?
BigRowdy Oct 22, 2020 @ 9:19pm
@BubbleShuffle. since i seem to answer most of the questions here I thinks it should be said that I dont even know robojumper. I answer only because I love this Mod and almost all of RJ other work.

Ok performance is based on your rig...IMO RAM is a big factor with this. But there is a config to adjust how often animations play if you have a low to midrange rig. Now I have 32GB RAM and run the mod at max....
Gnasty Gnome Oct 22, 2020 @ 8:21pm
How is the performance?
BigRowdy Sep 29, 2020 @ 7:36pm
Two things. First Highlander is required. Second Are you playing War of the Chosen if so there is a different Mod for that.
Shadowwolf149 Sep 29, 2020 @ 5:26pm
I'm having issues my units arent shooting and neither is the enemy and I have hollander activated but the game isnt giving me the fire fights I want to see and I'm not tech savvy to understand how to make it work how do you make this work? Without highlander?
BigRowdy Sep 26, 2020 @ 6:09pm
@shadowwolf149 it should as it only triggers illusionary gun firing. Cant say for sure though
Shadowwolf149 Sep 26, 2020 @ 6:04pm
does this work with the star wars blaster mods?
Dimm Jun 13, 2020 @ 11:26am
It works perfectly guys! A must mod to have a great experience playing xcom2/wotc
BigRowdy Jun 11, 2020 @ 8:23pm
It is just a visual. It gives a feeling of actual fighting going on in real time. But it is NOT a new game mechanic. but it makes the game far better to look at.
Da Gundam Boy Jun 11, 2020 @ 8:19pm
So no one takes damage unless it's an actual attack action?
shardinhand Jun 9, 2020 @ 7:33am
this is the single greatest addition to any xcom game ever... its a must. <3
BigRowdy May 25, 2020 @ 2:01pm
Are you playing war of the chosen?
Dimm May 25, 2020 @ 1:45pm
not working here! :( someone can help me?
When i played xcom i dreamed with the day this "war scenario" would be real and now it is but... :(
BigRowdy Apr 18, 2020 @ 9:01pm
@shardinhand yep. The best mod for xcom2 really. After you enable it, if you dont use it your games feel dead and lifeless
shardinhand Apr 18, 2020 @ 8:58pm
this is sick as helll!!!!!
BigRowdy Feb 18, 2020 @ 1:59pm
they have another version for wotc different mod author
Donut Feb 18, 2020 @ 1:49pm
does this work with WOTC?
BigRowdy Nov 4, 2019 @ 5:48pm
I agree, I could not play without these two mods. Robojumper is a freakin genius. CGNick gets a ton of respect too for the port. These mods are simply essential.
I hate myself and want to die. Nov 4, 2019 @ 4:56pm
I consider this mod a must-have and its exclusion by Firaxis from the vanilla game a borderline criminal offense. XCOM 2 is already a stunningly beautiful game, but installing Idle Suppression along with it made me hotkey the debug camera onto my controller just so I could fly around mid-fight and gawk at all the pretty lasers. I can't speak for anyone else, but after 400 hours of using Idle Suppression in the base game, and a dozen more of using CGNick's port in War of the Chosen, I've experienced zero crashes and zero performance hits playing at near max settings on a laptop with 4GB VRAM, 8GB RAM, and a ~4GHz CPU. I cannot recommend this mod enough. Thanks, robojumper and CGNick!
SabaraOne Aug 3, 2019 @ 5:40am
Funny, even my potato can handle a 10 squad and maybe 15 enemies at a time during an LW Base Assault. Not well mind you, and an FPS would be unplayable, but it does run. (For Potato defined as Iris Pro 5200 graphics)
Not Ela Aug 3, 2019 @ 4:00am
Warning: Don't use this with triple enemy or it will crash on mission start when the enemy count is over 30
Vortex ♀ Pixalation Jul 26, 2019 @ 1:33pm
The two mods are coded entirely differently, they don’t exactly affect the game the same way, especially because the WOTC version is obviously based on WOTC which rewrites half of X2s back end, largely performance of the two mods is massively dependent on a bit of luck and your PC, if you use a memory clearer and have a lot of ram, and a good GPU it typically runs fine at base settings for the WOTC version and even beyond with the decals on and everything, but that’s just what I know, your personal experience may vary
BigRowdy Jul 25, 2019 @ 10:36pm
There is a different version for WoTC. Its by a different author. Take my advice and go into the config options and lower the chance to like 50% or lower, else you will put a heck of a strain on your rig
That being said , I use it in LW2 and The WotC version
Oniix Jul 25, 2019 @ 10:17pm
is this compatible with WotC?
BigRowdy Jul 19, 2019 @ 5:24pm
@ Der Radikale Richard Which mod launcher r u using? The alternative mod launcher or another one. Also seethe conversation above. and lastly if nothing else works friend me and I'll work you through it. The mod works perfectly. I also run 545 other mods at the same time, About 1/2 for WotC and 1/2 for LW2.
