If anyone still would visit this page wondering if this would work...
Was still working fine as of early 2023, but you'd rather stick to Craft Helper Continued now I guess.

Not sure if this still works; it lets me turn it on and start a game, but if I quit, I lose access to my mod page, so I'm unable to turn any mods on or off. The only solution I've found is deleting my mod folder so far.

I like how despite how old this mod is, it still works perfectly fine with the current version (for me, at least)

hi i tried this with build 41 and it does work (though the window position is fixed and will always open there even if you move it but its still useful)

on some items having a lot of uses, like (matches), it can really go slow, but apart from that its pretty handy. (this was using a bunch of mods, including the build 41 version of hydrocraft)

sorry to hear it does not work (with 41 & hydrocraft at least).. There hasnt been any recent updates. I dont support this anymore either, so maybe someone else can look into fixing a releasing a new version.

Works on 41+. You just need to enable it for current saves.
I spent a bunch of time trying to figure out how to convert this to 41+ since I thought one of the events wasn't firing. Turns out that was a total waste of time because it works out of the box.

its IWBUMS, so maybe it will be fixed before full release. Maybe let them know about it on the indie stone forums? With an error message. It *could* be a dev bug...

Hi! I was wondering if I would be able to put a modified version of your mod into the server mod for my server, Monghell? I'd include a credit and link.

We're at a point where we have so many mods that it can take forever for new players to download the mods when they first login, so I'm trying to get permission to fold mod content into the server mod so it's not such a problem anymore.

Actually the same thing has always happened to me as well with the mod.

It's a bit of a pain but it looks like the only way to avoid it is to always remember to close the recipe before closing the Craft Helper menu. If you don't the recipe gets stuck there permanently with no way to close it. Opening a new craft helper window doesn't close the first stuck one either so it looks like the only way to get rid of it is by reloading.

Out of curiosity do you play with a controller? I do and my first guess was that this is some kind of issue with the controller interface since the menu system is quite a bit different from the keyboard interface.

it should be all client side... but to be safe enable it on the server. I'm not 100% sure... I ported this for a newer version of PZ and cannot remember.

Just a clarification > Crafting helper windows is where show all recipes the item can be used , the recipe window is when you check a recipe puting mouse in front of the recipe, when puting the mouse outside the recipe window it closes auto.

The problem is, when the recipe is oppen, he overlays the crafting helper window including the [x] button to close the window, when you close the crafting helper with the recipe open > the bug happens, the crafting helper window closes but the recipe window stay open forever, even when i take the mouse of of the window.

Only fix when closing the game, no error messages, i found how to reproduce the error: Use crafting helper on some item > put mouse in front of some recipe to show the item he makes > close the windows from craftwing helper without taking out your mouse cursor from the recipe window. 100% chance to bug the recipe window and stay there forever, need to exit and enter game again (game i mean session, not the actual .exe program)

Is there an error message that occurs when this happens? You shouldnt need to restart the server, ...exiting and re-entering the game with the client doesnt fix it? Does it happen in SP?

How do a close a window when using crafting helper? Some times when i hover my mouse on a crafting recipe inside the crafting helper the window dont close and stays there forever i cant close it, only restarting the server, any way to resolve?

its fixed now. For some reason I have to still make a fix to \media\lua\client\ISUI\ISRichTextPanel.lua for this mod to work, which is why it is contained in this mod to overwrite the original vanilla one.

The fix is:
The line:
local leftText = self.text..' ';
becomes:
local leftText = tostring(self.text)..' ';

I never could exactly work out what was going on, but the devs should probably make that 'tostring' fix to their ISRichTextPanel.lua. Anyone want to post a bug report in the indie stone forums?

What happened here is, the vanilla ISRichTextPanel.lua has changed which caused this bug, so I had to add that new version to my mod along with my fix still.
