OK, it looks really good and, if I could work out what the intended solution is, that’s probably good also. I didn’t deactivate the fizzler and I didn’t need to press the button that flips the two high up panels. What I did was get rid of turrets, funnel cube across over top of fizzler to exit area, then self, redirect laser to raise angled panel, funnel self up to ceiling then fling to exit platform, press pedestal button there, go down and funnel self and cube to exit :(

Didnt need the receptor outside the fizzler though.

That was a great test, fun and well designed. Do more!

This is an extremely solid puzzle! Great work! It had many elements, and great atmosphere, with the distant explosions and cavernous pits. We even enjoyed Wheatley's presence, fitting with the rest of Chapter 8. I was bummed that Wheatley had no dialogue, and the peaceful music did not at all fit with the turbulent environment. Finally, I did not need to use a number of elements, notably the flip panels near the end . Congrats!

@MrChopsticks Hi, wow I can't believe you made a video about my chamber, I feel so honored! ^^ Thank you so much for taking the time to play my level and do the video! It was a really nice playthrough, it helps me a lot to see how other people played it and it was really helpful to watch! :D Again, thanks a lot! I will definitely post more chambers for you to play in the future ^^

@dmuk @spaceowl @babygrand78 @mbrown259 @sermuns @vincaduchess @nmgagain Thank you so much for playing and for your incredibly nice comments! :D I will definitely make more chambers in the future, thank you for your encouragement! ^^

About as frustrating in an 'I can't believe it was that simple, I must be an idiot' sort of way as the harder official chambers. Good work.
MrChopsticks Apr 24, 2017 @ 11:41am
Hey Hjulia! This was a great chamber! The part where I had to fly across the room killed me a couple times because it wasn't obvious to me that I had to place a portal on each of the raised panels . Everything else was pretty straightforward, and it was pretty satisfying to set those pesky turrets on fire .

I posted my playthrough on my YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/3OPV2mX2D-0

In case you publish more chambers in the future, I'll make sure to check them out.

Great test. I agree you should do more. Thanks for your work. I love when I learn new stuff.

Nice map, well made and sufficiently lit with good visuals. Some elements have work-arounds to make them unnecessary but I actually enjoyed using them, especially the cube delivery fling at the end. Thanks for your efforts.

Nice test! You should make more. Thanks!:steamhappy:

Great to not have to outsmart the Gamers game. Porta has a fundamental action and reaction and basic clues continue to make it enjoyable. Loved this 1 as much as a few others

Cool looking map and great puzzle =)

Interesting sequence! Good use of the gravity funnel.

@Prop_Dynamicish Thank you so much for playing my chamber and giving feedback! I definitely agree on the dialogue, was planned but cut it for time reasons (I made this level for a school assignment), but I will try to add it in the future for sure! :)

Thank you so much for highlighting further what differs it from chapter 8, it's really helpful to me and I will make sure to apply the knowledge in the next maps I make! :D
asd417 Apr 21, 2017 @ 9:16am
A few strings of dialouge would have made this chamber much better. I mean right now, glados and wheatly are just staring each other in the most relaxed way possible :steamhappy:
Music from chapter 8 could be used to fit better,
Some aesthetic choices are differentiating this map from the other campaign maps. For example, the rusty metal textures are never seen in the test chambers of chapter 8.
Keep it up!

Nice big chamber map - puzzle was kind of easy. thanks for creating.

Good fun map, took me a while to get started but then I rarely see the obvious. Enjoyed, Thank you.

@qmakr thank you for playing, I'm glad that you thought it was cool! :) I'm glad you noticed the break, I'll make sure to fix it!
Hjulia  [author] Apr 20, 2017 @ 6:48am
@FumblyBumbly Thank you so much for playing and also taking the time to explain with pictures, it helps me out immensely! I'm very glad that you liked the aesthetics of the map, it was my biggest area of focus :D I will definitely try to add some dialogue to the room, I think it would have made the level a lot more immersive.

Good that you noticed the break, I've seen it before but not quite that severely. I will make sure to fix it, I can probably solve it by removing some of the Portalable surfaces by that area. I like there to be some possibility of minor exploits since it contributes a little to the feeling that Wheatley has basically glued a couple of rooms together, but the map gets too short if the player can skip over so many crucial elements so I will make sure to fix it. Thank you for bringing it to my attention! :)

Again thanks for your feedback and your time, it's very appreciated ^^
qmakr Apr 20, 2017 @ 6:15am
Cool map but you dont need several swiches to finish.
Fumbly Bumbly Apr 20, 2017 @ 2:11am
Some design nitpicks I have are these: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=909277045 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=909277106 It could also be interesting if you add some Wheatley and PotatOS dialogue. I think the proper way is to use a logic_choreographed_scene but if you want to go the easier route you can use an ambient_generic to play their voices. Still though, it's quite aesthetically good for your first map :)
Fumbly Bumbly Apr 20, 2017 @ 2:11am
The hammer work is pretty good for your first map, and it's not bad for a puzzlemaker export. However the puzzle needs some improvement. It's broken quite severely; the player doesn't need to use many of the elements you've put in, but it can probably be fixed: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=909277267 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=909277317 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=909277365 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=909277491 Basically the way there is a gap at the top of the fizzler lets the player funnel over above the turrets without harm. They can exit out a vertical funnel onto the exit area's grating platform and bypass the flip panel and angled panel.
