I am mostly not freelancing due to a lack of energy ( i overdid things once again and need a recovery period ). Feel free to ask though, as the wallpaper is only some js/css/html and adding a logo for example might be very easy without needing to hire someone. If it's too much for me I will just be honest and let you know, so can't promise. But ya can always ask.
But again, I am more than willing to help anyone here in public if I can. And if you have a reason to take things private just let me know.
However I'd love to hear it's being used and maybe where if you don't mind sharing such info here in the comments. I'm on twitch a couple of times per weak listening to music so would love to see my own work there haha.
I copied the files, works great!
thanks a bunch
If you want a work around however instead of fixing the actual problem you can copy the wallpaper:
1. Go to where steam downloads your games/apps and find this folder: \Steam\steamapps\common\wallpaper_engine\projects\myprojects
2. Make a new directory in myprojects.
3. Then open the wallpaper browser
4. right click the wallpaper and select "open in explorer" from the menu.
5. Copy all the files to your newly created folder in myprojects
This should create a duplicate of the wallpaper to which different settings can be applied.
Is it a asset?
For testing the higher frame rates I had to fake the high fps setting as my system is limited to 60fps and I accidentally left that line in the code when I updated it on steam. It should now be back to normal and limited by the fps setting in WE itself.
I've been looking around in your code but couldn't find the part containing the unlocked framerate codes. If you don't want to add that kind of a feature, maybe you could point me in the right direction so I can put a fixed frame limit on my copy?
Thank you
Thank you for this wallpaper.
Another idea is if you have no wallpapers that require audio, then leave audio recording on, but in windows volume mixer, turn down wallpaper engines volume to 0 as it affects how loud the audio is that WE records too. Just don't forget to turn it back up if you do want to use audio with any wallpaper . The way it was written is that the no-audio animation depends on having audio input from.
A not so perfect option, but in the wallpaper there is an option "Silence Threshhold". If you set it to 100 and slightly lower the volume of the output to about 50%, it probably will never detect any audio. To compensate you could raise the volume on your speakers, though with some headphones this might not work as they adjust the windows volume itself instead of work independently.
I do have a question though; Is there a way on my end to sync the foreground image with audio? I am using a dancing gif, and I only want to see it pop up when I start up my music.
Is it possible to have an input box for the values beside the sliders in the settings because it's hard to make some very delicate adjustments. It may be easier to type the values for some people. Just a thought.
Make a option to add a custom clock, like choose between an analogic clock or a digital one, it would be amazing!
Thx for your work man, really good job!
My current guess is that what is happening is that when you pause the player for whatever reason is actually playing an inaudible noise instead of nothing at all. The normalization option of the wallpaper is picking up on that an amplifying the results which is that rising effect you see.
If this is the case, there is an option in the settings just above "Color Gradient 1" called "Silence threshold". Try to cause that effect by pausing and then raise the silence threshold in little steps ( you can use the arrow keys when the input is active ) to see when it start ignoring that faint signal.
