What version shows the portraits?

Weird how this got on the front page again when its not updated.

That sounds more like poor programming on the dev's part rather than any malicious intent. Scroll bar thing idk anythign about.

(It is. Every update consistently breaks most mods, and while that's mostly understandable it got so bad that even gameplay updates broke portraits, which are two completely unrelated aspects that shouldn't affect each other. What's worse, I remember them removing the scroll bar in portrait groups, so if a portrait group had too many portrait you couldn't select the bottom ones. Dunno if they undid that since I haven't played in ages.)

Ho my god no more portrait mods are working , no zeriphen, no R27 . NOTHING WORKS . Cant play without portrait mod what did stellaris do :'(
I try to make some portrait mod works with my poor knowledge in modding but without success . Dont know what to do now ...

unfortunatly doesn't show the portraits in the portrait selector. Is this just me or is the mod broken?

@DrizzleWhisperer☭ no - any mod that adds a species (rather than replacing a built-in one) is not achievement-compatible. Beyond that, this mod has additional gameplay components. I've updated the gameplay content from this mod (the special starting system, custom empire, shipset, custom ship, and so on) to work with Stellaris 3.0.* - you must still subscribe to this one for it to work.

@Sideko Unfortunately, silfae has been MIA for years. Fortunately, most of her creations that don't work can be found elsewhere. For example, if you want these Animated Hollow Portraits, you can actually find it alongside several others in the "Forgotten Queens" mod here:

I believe one or two of them might still have the "not-updated exclamation point", but they still all work fine, as that's often just a flag that hasn't been updated and not any actual incompatibility. For example, Silfae's "Animated Xermian Portraits" also lack the updated flag, but still work absolutely fine.

@mrearly1 Doubt they'd care that much going by the activity. If anything, do what others have done and just release it and have a note saying it can be removed upon request.

Hi, i am doing a stellaris mod and want your permission to use your Animated Hollow Portraits mod. I need the portrait part of your mod. I will reffer your mod on my mod page. Is it fine with you?

So the only issue I've run into with this is around the pre-built empire it adds. it doesn't spawn normally anymore, which is a good thing because if you spawn as it or as any empire using the home system the game completely shatters.

I created a custom empire that's essentially the pre-built with random system spawn and changed traits to include modded traits and fit how i wanted the empire to play and its worked fine even going into the heavily flawed new launcher.

only issue is that they are noticeably stronger than other AI empires, thanks to the astral horror trait.

I don't remember how I did it, but I somehow got this Mod to work in my game.

One of the most fun games I ever played was as a Rogue Servitor with these Evil Death Worms as the Bio-Trophy. The story was that the Death Worms created these huge, intimidating machines to serve as aids to their destruction of the galaxy.

One of the Ancient Precursors, in their prime, hacked the robots and turned them into Rogue Servitors. Then, they secretly helped them pacify the worms. The end result? By the start of the game, they are kind and loving. Still horrifying to look at, though.

The kicker? The Civics for the RS are the required RS Civic and War Bots.

By the love of the Worm, I would kill to have this mod updated for 2.3... though I understand life is busy lol.

Anyone know if the mod actually works with 2.3? I don't think the things it adds have been changed much at all in the game, so I don't see why it wouldn't.
