big sad
Latest Dev Kit seems to have broken the latch mechanics and I can't seem to get it corrected. The Raptors just spin like crazy. Will end up having to re-do it from scratch. However, as the Raptor is getting a TLC pass, I'll likely wait for that version to be added to the Dev Kit in order to start re-creating the mod.
@DeinonychusAntirrhopus: I don't plan on changing anything about the mod itself. You can always edit those settings via ini though.
@airforce: I can't seem the replicate the issue. Might just be due to the game having been updated so much since the last DevKit release. When the next update lands I'll re-cook. Might fix the issue.
@ Ignis: They might be able to be spawned in, but they'll just be regular Raptors. I plan to add Aberrant Pack Raptors when the Dev Kit updates.
Hunt was available but still no latch working on Bronto, Stego, etc ...
What would be a very good buff to the Raptors that doesn't strictly buff their combat prowess... would be giving them updated AI like Troodon have. The difference is simply stunning, I've ran around maps, off waterfalls and all, with a pair of Troodon following me who even despite getting seperated and myself getting back to base like 15min earlier they managed to follow me. Couple that with some increased Carry Weight(140 makes Raptors hardly useable, 180-190 would be more apropriate) and *maybe* improve their hitboxes for balance... and we are talking some good buffs!
I was wanting to ask; would you be willing to lend advice for going about making a more simplistic pounce ability?
I'm working on a rebalancer mod and coming to my raptor; I'm wanting it to perform a leap type attack, though without any latching or prey-grabbing.
Kaprosuchus has a ton of graph work related to handling both prey-grabbing and a water-land transition which isn't relevant for what I'm doing.
I'm looking around in the Kaprosuchus graphs for clues on what I need. I'm finding it difficult to distinguish what I should appropriate from the Kaprosuchus since it's broken up into so many different pieces.
(Although, I do know that Calculate Leap Impulse is going to be the core function to lift from Kaprosuchus to my raptor.)
Pack Raptors are designed to be enhanced replacements, so don't have a unique skin, in game name or dino tag. If you have use both vanilla and modded Raptors in your game, wild ones can be identified by either having the alpha glow, or the gang bonus (+2 etc), similar to Compys.
Just recently cooked an update with the most recent version, so don't believe there should be any issues or bugs.
Will aim to sort it asap, but I'm trying to complete a brand new mod in time for the game's official release. Watch this space.
@The Meme Stealer Do you happen to be going to Ragnarok? Your better off sticking to The Island or The center until you get a better computer and definetly a better Internet like Spectrum to make it run smoothly. desktop is what makes FPS better and better internet makes you load the game faster and less likely for you to lag, teleport a few feet away from just 1 step.
@ST34K4S4URUS R3KT@: Mentioned this in the "Nitty Gritty" discussion. All dinos have different collision depending on if wild or tamed/ ridden or un-ridden. Adjusting this would mean remapping all other Dinos, which wouldn't make the mod stackable.
The animation itself could do with some work, so I might update that in the future.
No plans to mod any other dinos for now. Got something else in the pipeline
only if you want to
i like this mod too much xD
you cant always like just jump up and latch on right away
OHHHHHHHH i just got an idea
can you make is so you can latch on some surfaces
not climb just latch on
is there a way to fix it?
