@Angryr I completely forgot about this. You're very forgiven. That seems like a good fix and I'll have to try it again some time.

@HotlineBird I'm terribly sorry, I've made an ass of myself. I completely missread your comment below. I believe I have solved your issue. You still only receive a one charge builder when purchasing however that one charge builder now costs proportionally less (200g -> 70g on standard speed; 35g I think for online speed). Again, I'm am terribly sorry for being an ass :steamfacepalm:

I did read the description, I know the cards apply to it. It's still irritating to realize that you need a builder and not have those wonders/policies in at the moment.
I agree that it would be OP to buy it and receive all 10 or so possible builder actions. I'm not a programmer. I don't know if there's a solution that would make me happy. I think it's probably just not the mod for me, but good job @Angryr it's a cool idea even if it's not for me.

@HotlineBird If you'd read the description you'd know that's because the Serfdom and Public Works policy cards apply to both builders.

So it uses the same mechanic as Scythia and the Venetian Arsenal which only gives you two if you produce the unit, and thus when buying a builder as Scythia I only received one builder with one charge. If this is purposeful, ok I guess it's just not the mod for me, but I would love it fixed.

I considered that immediately when making this mod however with the way modding is now that is out of my capabilities, lua scripting might be able to accomplish it but I'm just now starting to learn that. The Scythian trait uses a single modifier that says "if I build this, give me some number of extra ones" with no ability to change what the extra one is.

Secondly, I made it an early game nerf intentionally. Yes there are early game civilizations stronger than Scythia I just haven't come up with a fun way to nerf them that I'm currently capable of doing.

Instead of making it give 2 paired builders, have you considered making it give 1 real builder with 1 charge that is affected by policies/pyramids, and 2 paired builders with 1 charge each that are not affected by policies/pyramids.

That way sythia doesn't need pyramids every game, while still having interesting builders that fit their theme. (3 one charge workers are able to spend their charges much faster than normal 3 charge workers)

This is an incredibly interesting idea, and makes the civ operate much more similarly to their real life counter part. Less growth, no need to mass tile improve, few kurgans, many cities. Ofc, if you focus and choose to improve builders you can easily bump it up to the normal rate with serfdom, at 4, which is very like the historical improvement a serf system saw for the steppe peoples.

@Cagarustus Yeah, it took me a second when I first seen it to realize it's just a key value. Glad I could help.
Cagarustus Mar 29, 2017 @ 6:19am
@Angryr. All good, I got it. You, Sir, have made my day!
Cagarustus Mar 29, 2017 @ 5:36am
@Angryr. I looked at the SQL. I noticed that in PlayerItems you put 'Type' as 'SCYTHIAN_PAIRED_BUILDERS'. Where does this come from? And what Type is that referring to?
Angryr  [author] Mar 29, 2017 @ 5:15am
@Cagarustus You have to make a file to update the front-end database and add records for that civ/leader to the PlayerItems database. See my mod for SQL example and look to the Aztec DLC folder for the xml example.

@Angryr. I have encountered the same problem when I was making a second trait when modding around. I don't think anyone's cracked it yet. Cheers.
Angryr  [author] Mar 28, 2017 @ 5:17am
@Cagarustus I have not figured that out yet (learning as I go) but as soon as I do I'll touch back on any/all mods I make. Thought I saw something pertaining to that in the Aztec dLC folder last night but we'll see aboit that later.

And if Scythia builds Pyramids?
Cagarustus Mar 27, 2017 @ 11:01pm
Just a question: were you able to get the text for 'Scythian Builder Hordes' to appear on the Civ Selection Screen (not the Loading Screen, as above)?
Angryr  [author] Mar 27, 2017 @ 8:00pm
Yeah, I realized that the second I published it. I'll be fixing this tomorrow, it's late and I've got work tomorrow, I'll do something about it afterwards. Have some fun and play a couple OP games first ;P
jholl9 Mar 27, 2017 @ 7:58pm
So, if you build the pyramids wonder, or have Serfdom enabled, do you build more builders, or is each builder's charge amount increased by that many charges? Because that could get horrifyingly OP very quickly.
