2 Whizzard: Thanks for quick reply and info. I hope you will have more time soon or someone else will do it.
Whizzard  [author] Sep 19, 2018 @ 7:16pm
I'm sorry for being unable to update! I'm a fulltime student who has since releasing this also started work! And as such I am pressed for time in my life as is! Sorry all!
.:M3ssi@h:. Sep 18, 2018 @ 4:54am
usefull mod any update to B19 please ?
LittleGrayHearts Sep 10, 2018 @ 1:07pm
Found one that works the same for 0.19 by a different creator.
Slye_Fox Sep 6, 2018 @ 4:05am
I'm not able to make an mince, the game keeps saying 'not enough ingredients', despite having hundreds of meat avalable.
OigresTuc Mar 30, 2018 @ 7:36am
The pawns keeps making making minced meat from thin air except i order to butcher manually every time. Or if they dont have enough they keep grabing and dropping the meat.
Asgahn Mar 3, 2018 @ 2:54am
Why can I mince humen meat in the 5 times bill, but it's disabled in the 20 times bill? Very annoying to supply a big colony.
But great mod!
Praise You.

Well, but with the flesh of man and the meat of insects i'm don't agree, it would be better not to be used it for crafting.
Starfoth The Burgundy Silk Rug Feb 9, 2018 @ 11:01pm
Honestly the best part about this mod to me is how I can vet the meat for anything I don't want.
Dog, Cat, Human, Fox, etc.
I don't have to go to each recipie to remove every meat I don't like, I just need to set the butcher to only butcher creatures I want, the meat mincer to only mince meat I want, and set all recipies to only use minced.
Other_Olly Feb 9, 2018 @ 8:52pm
Looks very useful.

Feature suggestion: Have an option that removes human and insect meat from the possible mincemeat ingredients. (I know one can do this by editing the job itself, but it would be convenient.)
someonesneaky Feb 8, 2018 @ 3:40pm
I'm a big fan of your mod, it's one of my must-haves. But I thought, it'd be neat to have one for vegetables too. So I maaaay have sliiiiightly borrowed yours to make one.

I really do hope you don't mind -- it was as much a thing to see if I could do it, and I absolutely gave you credit and linked back here! :D
ThePlagueBeast Feb 5, 2018 @ 4:14pm
It's all good! Aside from the human meat option and the mincing-minced-meat (which... I get as cooking practice but uh 'allow all' and then 'hunt for minced meat' is annoying) the mod works perfectly and allows me to go all Mystery Meat on my colonists :D
Whizzard  [author] Feb 5, 2018 @ 12:25pm
@lionsilverwolf It's probably an overlook. I need to wait a couple weeks before I can get to tinkering at all. I'll take a look at some point between the 19th and 23rd It should work for B18 so long as nothing is wrong but I havent had time for games let alone testing and updating, sorry all!
Starfoth The Burgundy Silk Rug Feb 2, 2018 @ 11:07am
Thanks
ThePlagueBeast Feb 2, 2018 @ 8:45am
@Starforth It works fine with B18
Starfoth The Burgundy Silk Rug Feb 2, 2018 @ 7:40am
Does this work with B18
ThePlagueBeast Jan 26, 2018 @ 10:57pm
The mince 5 has the option for human meat, but the mince 20 does not. Intentional or overlooked?
Whizzard  [author] Dec 4, 2017 @ 7:14am
I have yet to feel a reality implosion, and I believe I may have left that as an option to basically have someone mince meat as cooking practice, I believe you can simply turn it off as an option! I don't have the time to look into it currently but I will take a look some time next week when I'm not writing papers! Thank you for the heads up!
Torres Dec 4, 2017 @ 12:58am
It seems the recipe to mince 5 meat has the option to mince minced meat, which loops and will eventually make reality implode. Just FYI :steamhappy:
Whizzard  [author] Nov 24, 2017 @ 6:32pm
There we go! quick test shows it should work fine! if you get problems let me know!
Torres Nov 21, 2017 @ 11:35am
Please update :D mincing makes our lives waaaay easier. If you wanted to be "fair" you could add a higher risk of food poisoning since mixing different meats in the mince is about all that cross-contamination stuff. ;)
Whizzard  [author] Oct 18, 2017 @ 9:42am
None I know of, the only thing that would cause it is a mod that changes nutrition or the meat subtype of food because the mod pulls based on nutrition and the meat type, so it doesnt need all of the different meat types added manually, making it basically universally compatible with any new animal or food types.
extace_ Jul 26, 2017 @ 4:14am
It doesn't work for me anymore, it says I don't have enough ingredients all of a sudden. Are there any known conflicts with other mods?
Whizzard  [author] Jul 17, 2017 @ 1:09pm
@sir Rolin
Yeah I left that because it works as basically a cheap training method for cooks, not hugely impiortant but basically "train by groping meat"

and yeah I should have realized it as that is my field of study but it was made at like 1am prepping to release it
Sir Rolin Jul 16, 2017 @ 12:21pm
awesome mod Whizzard, but there's a bug, in the mince x5, you can mince, minced meat. not a huge issue, as you can just disable mincing it, but it could be exploited.

the thumbnail for the mod, should be from left to right not right to left in production. (it's just a psychological thing, that makes it easier to assosiate things going from left to right in progress)
Whizzard  [author] Jun 16, 2017 @ 2:20pm
I have Updated the mod to A17, in my test there was no error between a16 and a17 so there are not yet any changes, and as for the error in code where stoves were being fueled by the mod, I could not replicate it and so I haven't done anything for it.
Kai Jun 11, 2017 @ 9:46am
@draylynn Any more detail? Like error messages or something? Would probably help the dev to update it.
Draylynn May 30, 2017 @ 4:11am
This is working on A17, but I'm noticing some wierd side effects, such as Electric Stoves are being fueled by Minced Meat...
Torres May 27, 2017 @ 9:16am
I don't know if this applies to your mods or not but I figured if it did you would like to know about it.

WE NEED YOU WHIZZARD MAN! Come save us and our coolers in A17!
BB8Rodriguez May 25, 2017 @ 3:01pm
ANy ETA on when this will be updated to a17?
Torres May 25, 2017 @ 12:03pm
Please update this to Alpha 17 :D nothing's more annoying that 8 types of meat in different stacks.

For balance purposes I'd make this easier to spoil since minced meat spoils faster IRL and I'd nerf its price down since a steak is more costly than mincing it :D
Whizzard  [author] Apr 8, 2017 @ 9:17pm
@frankwest @yhj9688
I have fixed the errors in the code and all is well, my bad for not noticing it earlier!
2_Modray Apr 8, 2017 @ 6:17pm
Like yhj9688 said, the recipes are strange.
The mince 5 meat recipe outputs meat on a 1:5 ratio (1 raw meat goes in, 5 minced meats come out).

However, what he didn't mention is that the mince 20 meat recipe outputs minced meat on a 1:1 ratio (20 raw meats go in, 20 minced meats come out).
Whizzard  [author] Apr 4, 2017 @ 7:33pm
@yhj9688, I should have explained, minced meat is not perfect and has less nutrition than a normal meat peice so it takes in and outputs the exact same ammount of nutrition
yhj9688 Apr 4, 2017 @ 5:39am
hey guy, I love ur mod so much, however there is a problem in ur "mincedmeatrecipe" def, which will cause a situation that the man would use only one rather than five meat to make five "minced meat", my English is not good and I'm not sure whether you can understand what I'm talking about. Anyway, it's an awesome mod.
someonesneaky Mar 29, 2017 @ 6:00pm
No worries, figured it couldn't hurt to ask! Suppose we can manually just disable the 'bad' meats in the bill to keep them from using it for now. :D

I MUST HAVE MY SAUSAGES :OhNoBlue:
Tim_The_Enchanter Mar 29, 2017 @ 12:34pm
u saved my life all i got in my main play throught is just a small amout of a ton of different meat
Whizzard  [author] Mar 29, 2017 @ 11:04am
@aegis I am looking into doing this, but I have life in the way, as this was actually quite quickly made, I will look into disallowing various meats, though, I hadn't thought about them originally as when I play I rarely butcher bugs or humans in any way, and so human and insect meat rarely cross my mind.
Whizzard  [author] Mar 29, 2017 @ 10:40am
@stef it uses two recipes, one that makes 5 and one that makes 20 so that they can use smaller piles, the transfer rate should be roughly 1:1 dependent on if the meat type has a basic nutrition value. And they shouldn't spend all day so long as you aren't attempting to transfer thousands of meat per day, and they will not use minced meat to make it, so they will not simply sit all day mincing the meat.
Aegis Mar 29, 2017 @ 9:36am
I'll support the others' comments: I'd really like a "lite" version of this mod with different human/insect meat behavior. In general this mod feels like a little more polish that the game was missing, but the insect/human meat feels cheap. Everyone has a different standard though, so please don't take this down.

Good luck with your hectic moments of life =)
fatburner Mar 29, 2017 @ 8:05am
how much meat does it require before it can mince? and will pawns spend all day mincing meat?
SRandom Mar 29, 2017 @ 7:36am
>human
>insect
>without debuff
<one more casual mod, thx
Whizzard  [author] Mar 29, 2017 @ 5:29am
Oh I probably can but life is a bit hectick for me at the moment so it may be a bit before I get into the swing of other things like that again.
Kupo Mar 29, 2017 @ 5:27am
maybe you can find some help on the discord.
Whizzard  [author] Mar 29, 2017 @ 5:19am
I could try making it yes, the big problem with making that though is that it goes outside of my knowledge and hits problems I was having with another mod I was looking at making as jt requires editing assemblies.
Kupo Mar 29, 2017 @ 3:28am
if you do what @someonesneaky just said i would also like to use it, but this right now is just too easy.
someonesneaky Mar 28, 2017 @ 11:22pm
Would you possibly ever consider making a separate version that would give a different option for insect and humanoid meats, to make it feel less 'easy mode'? Like... Combined, it'd be 'low-grade meat', while the good meats would still be 'minced'?
