sequel i tried following the advice you gave to fanstar however the only file i find in my games is binding of isaac, do you know if there's any fix i can apply for this situation because i haven't been able to get any map mod i've subbed to to work, even when they download.

@Poseidon,

1. This map was built for BNW, I don't think it will work with earlier versions due to the wonders included. That being said, it would be pretty easy to upload a version that would be compatable with earlier versions of the game.

2. No unfortunately, this map doesn't have TSL. Only 2 (or maybe 3) civs actually would have their capitals on this map: Persia, Arabia, and Ethiopia (barely). You could use a mod like IGE (In-Game Editor) to move civs to their "Homelands" at the start of a game (Egypt to egypt, Ethiopia to Ethiopia, Babylon could have Kuwait etc.), but it isn't built into this mod.

This may be a dumb question, but is this map compatible with G&K, and BNW? Also, if I play as say, Arabia, will I start IN Arabia? (Or Egypt, Persia, etc)

Make sure you load up civ and click on "Mods" and just wait for a minute or two. Sometimes it can be delayed.

If that doesn't work, try unsubbing and resubbing.

If that doesn't work, delete the contents of your "cache" folder in my games/Civ5

Hi Fanstar,

Looking into this, but for now here's a workaround:

Sometimes I've noticed when downloading mods with maps, in order to get the maps to show up, you need to manually move them to your maps folder (not sure why).

1. Go to: C:\Users\<Your Name>\Documents\my games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5
2. Go into the "MODS" folder
3. Find this mod and go into the folder (should be near the top if sorting by date)
4. Copy the file ending in ".Civ5Map"
5. Go back to (\my games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5) and paste the map into the "Maps" folder
6. After this, it should show up as playable even without the mod enabled.
